just wondering if u guys simulated any trasnfers(from club to club or evan from level to level)and does it mess the lineups like last year? (when we had to do that using the FA trick)

Due to new coding my workaround does not work now.

I did post some tests I did with several teams using the AUTO FIX for the lineups and it worked well. I saw nothing that would make me go...."Derek Lee leading off!!!!" If you would look at thread 874, post 34, line 4, sentence 3, I covered this.

Did anyone sim a season during franchise and see if we had some ridiculous numbers like last year that required the global edits?

what do u mean by that? cuz even though there's a tie, the team that beat the other team the most will clinch. for example, Yankees & Red Sox. i they get tied at the end, the one who beats the other the most advances (well that's how the game works). in this situation, there should be a tiebreaker. if both have playoff berths, then there's no need for a tiebreaker. in this situation, it will be who beat the other the most, then they'll win the division (while the other wins the Wild Card). most of u know this, but clarifying for ppl that don't know it. this should be in The Show:wink:

Yeah, but even if they're tied with only one playoff berth available, there's no one-game playoff. Like using last season for example, Chicago/Minny would've just been randomly picked for the playoffs.

edit: I misread your post...but last year that wasn't even the tiebreaker. I went 10-8 vs the Yankees and they got in over me.

yeah, i'm a smart guy:wink:. that last thing u said is pure bull****! so in The Show, they just pick a random team to clinch the playoff berth. this should be fixed in 09 or later versions

If I'm not mistaken, High Heat didn't have a one game playoff either. One season, I was tied with Pittsburgh on the last day, and they somehow got the birth. Some sort of built-in tie breaker or something.

It must be something that's hard to program.

Just do it like Little League, and go by whichever team has given up fewer runs over the course of the season. Then award us with a juice box and orange wedges.

Hey guys by any chance were they any questions asked in reference to Audio of the game. I ask because in 08 the Game Box states you can play the game in Dolby Digital, yet when I play 08 it's in LPCM.

I've tried changing my settings from both Bitstream & LPCM but that doesn't work. Not to mention the game volume is low..

                    Thanks

There shouldn't be a difference between LPCM and Dolby Digital. LPCM just means that the PS3 is taking the DD signal and separating it into the different channels and outputing it to your receiver. Dolby Digital signals are just passed through the PS3 without any processing at all. When I played '08, I had the full surround sound experience so it's definitely passing through multichannel signals.

I am getting MLB 09 The Show for PS3 and I may get 2K9 for PC.

One thing I haven't seen answered yet (and perhaps still covered by topics yet to be released on Sony blogs -- I understand) is how the new running controls felt for RTTS. More responsive? More realistic?

Did anyone from the CT check out season mode? I thought they mentioned that season would have rule v,arbirtration, waivers, options. Did they add the minor league system this year to season mode?

Easy fix....save the franchise the day of your last game before you play it if you know there is possibility of a tie.
If there isn't....you're good to go.
If there is....go back and replay the last game of the season as your very own tie-breaker.
Whatever the outcome....you're good to go!
