Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
Thanks for explaining this.
Just one thing. Is there a chance Sony could get the rosen bag on the field in future versions? Or are you saying it would be just too much programing and will never be done on PS3?
I would really like to know this so I can stop asking for things that will never be added anyway
If that is the case I will just have to get over it
But....Yes, it can be done. Just about anything can be done, it just takes time, resources and coordination with various groups....
I think you may have been the one asking about "how much power of the PS3 we use..." There really is not a definitive way to answer that. I talked to the guys a little about this at dinner (and I am not really the guy to answer this, but since I'm here).
Think of it this way...in the first couple years of the PS2 developers were using "100%" of it's power...and then they got better at coding for it...optimized things, etc...fast forward to the later years on the PS2..God of War II for instance. That game looks amazing. There is no comparison between it and 1st or 2nd gen Ps2 games...both were using "100%" of its power probably, but early on they were only using a portion of its potential. The hardware itself obviously did not get more powerful, the devs just found ways to tap more out of it...do more things with the power they have...that is the very cool thing about the PS3 and the cell, and the SPUs....they are crazy powerful...and as we find more ways to optimize and harness that power, you will have rosen bags galore.
Hope that made sense....and of course, Patrick may post telling me I don't know what I am talking about, so take it for what its worth.
Bottom Line..Don't stop asking. Many of the things you ask for are on our lists as well.

Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
Okay boys.
I'm back home in N.Y.
I'm going to take 45 minutes to shower,eat...say "hello" to the wife and pet the dog. So that will be 5 minutes...25 minutes...1 minute and 14 minutes.
Then I'll be on pretty much all night for you guys.
I have the answers to almost every question on the list. If I don't have the answer now...it's because the dev team member who I asked wasn't the guy working on that and the guy I needed to talk to was busy. It's very few and I will find out if I can.
The other thing is the sections we can't discuss until after SCEA releases it's information about it first. That one is a no-brainer.
If you're asking me something and I'm not answering....that's the reason. I really don't want to keep posting "I can't discuss that."
Be back soon.

I want out, I tell ya....out, lol. It's all good, but geez louise don't make a 2k comparison when it comes to programming. No offense intended towards 2k, honestly.
Hey Chris, Do you think you can put Morganna in the game next year?Comment

I believe what he is saying is that we didn't have time to get to it this year. The graphics guys were a little busy this year. Right, Jim?
But....Yes, it can be done. Just about anything can be done, it just takes time, resources and coordination with various groups....

"Hey Jim great work out there today. You gave it all you had but we're bringing in a fresh arm from the pen. You have nothing to be ashamed of. You are an All-Star and a true professional."
Now introducing from parts unknown, #25 right-hander Mr. Knight." (runs in from the pen)
"Alright Knight, Jim gave us a solid outing today. We need to keep these question flowing. He's had a long day today. It's a tough crowd and our back's against the wall. This is why you're the #1 closer in the game. Close the deal."
In all seriosness, thanks for your time Jim.PSN: bronk14Comment

Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
Sorry, that made me laugh out loud.
and lol @ the 1 minute vs 14 minutes.
And more importantly, glad to see you home safe Knight.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
