I'm hoping for the demo ASAP.

I know it was Valentiines last year so that would be eleven (11) days from today if they released it on the Thursday before.

After the Super Bowl today is the worst few weeks in sports of the year for me... football will be over and baseball won't be here yet

I don't think the demo is going to cut it for me this year. I am itching to get into franchise mode.

Part of me wishes I would've never read through the community day feedback.

man I need the Killzone 2 demo to drop as well as GFII and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, so that I can occupy my time until the Show comes out.

Arod made the throw, it was a hot smash that landed him on his rear. He got up spun around and threw it quick. The ball bounced in front of Teixeira and the ball went down the line. Matt V comments that Teixeira was only able to come up with dust on the play.

I also saw some high bounced ball throws where the first baseman traps it up near his chest. Cool stuff!

I do not know if it was mentioned but there are different umps in the game to who rotate behind the plate for the different games you play. each ump has a different take on the strike zone but the actual strike zone overlay does not change.

Check swings seem like they are going to be harder this year. Last year you could check at will with a contact swing with any player on any pitch. This year it seems a little different, the ability looks like it is tied to their plate vision and pitch type thrown.

              This sounds great!

So it will depend on the skill of each player on how well they can check swing.

Also glad to hear about rotateing umps!

Do the umps have there real names in the game?

I believe they are made up names, I think, I am not 100%.

The opening intro is different this year. The lineup comes up but they only highlight one player and talk about him. It is much better! Make sure you let the opening intro play out so you can see the scene of the umpires and players looking up at the flag!

                    How does BATTING PRACTICE work?

Is it just for RTTS or can I do BATTING PRACTICE in Season mode?

I really do use RTTS much at all but was looking forward to BATTING PRACTICE.

Also can you tell us a little about the BATTING PRACTICE?

Co-Sign. I was hoping since HR Derby didn't make it this year, that maybe Batting Practice was accessible as a seperate mode as well so I can go into different parks and hit around and admire the stadiums.

Is it possible to access Batting Practice from the main menu without starting RTTS, Season or Franchise?

MUSIC TO MY EARS! I am so excited (I know, it doesn't take much) that you can throw a ball in the dirt this year and it NOT get picked. Good stuff!

                          Speaking of the Flag

Are the Flag animations improved this year? In 08 they look too choppy.

Also is the USA flag still cloned a lot and do they blow the way the wind is blowing?

                            Yankee fans:

When the fans are doing the roll call, sometimes they will cut away to the player and it shows him acknowledging the shot out!

There is also a cut scene between Jeter, Arod and Cano where they are lined up and the 2 slap each others glove and then the back of the other.

Wow, those animations and commentary sound cool. No problem for Longoria in that situation:wink:!

The first baseman still make a fair share of scoops but at least some get by them now!
