It must be mind boggling at what the devs must do to make games do what we take for granted.!!!!!

My brother on the other hand has been a high level programmer for US Steel Company for the past 20 years or so and he said that he knows a few people who have done some game programming. According to my bro, making a game such as this is an amazing feat and requires an insane amount of code to accomplish even the smallest of things.

From me and my bro, kudos to the guys from SCEA!!!!
this is why for the past year + that ive been going off on people who think that bugs are easy to fix... like ive said a BIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLION times on here A+B doesnt always =C maybe if your lucky you put something into a game and 50% of the time you get it right and it doesnt massively screw something else up... i completely understand this and have accepted it and understand... this is what the masses that expect ABSOLUTE BUG/GLITCH free perfection have to come to grips with and completely accept and understand.. until they do they will never get it and always whine about every little damn thing...

You could do that in 08.

This Lighting has me pumped! I know I say that a lot, but it will make the Stadiums come alive. How are the fans in the game are they walking around and do they do it right. I mean does it look right.

No pictures of the outfield wall in CitiField are out yet, but based on drawings of their plans, it looks like The Show will be the correct one with blue:

I am sure that it has to be setup into a downloadable format plus I am sure there is an approval process. If they started that today the demo would be coming out when the game is released. I do not think they can turn on the dime and have it ready.

There is a lengthy approval process through Sony for demos from what I've seen before; same goes for XBOX 360 games. For it to be a recent build, the demo would be out maybe early March.

Yes, fans and vendors walk around up and down stairs cross walks etc. When your home team stinks up the joint the stadium gets a little light!

Scott, they pulled it off so well it's hard to pick out duplicate fans like last year. Are they there? Yes. Fewer, yes. Fans also received a face lift. One of the programmers showed us some shots in SF of fans that were actually walking out onto the left field pavillion from an underpass. We were at his monitor and he took the camera, put it up on the pavillion, turned it toward an underpass and here came a fan walking out of it. Big time attention to detail with this.

You can see them walking up and down the long concrete stairway in left center field next to the scoreboard in Wrigley, for example. I was having a hard time watching the pitcher as I was taking it all in.

Thanks for the info Nem!!!! on a quick side note about wrigley i can rememeber playing a game there with my expansion team in asb 05 with the masher Russell Branyan and he CLOOOOOBBBERED one over the middle of it... if i remember right it was over 575 ft... now that was a true bomb.. man i miss shots like that... i think the longest i saw in 08 last year was 450 is or so.. by the computer who must have been using their "power" button due to the distance... lol but i was just remembering that... when you were all talking about the wrigley score board...

Did you guys notice whether they got most of the September callups in the game, even if they hardly played in '08?
