LOL, I found myself squirting my son's water gun in the air to simulate the GM fountain at Comerica every time I hit one out... j/k. Not that its a big deal, but did anyone happen to notice if that was in?

I did noticed from the video that the walls were now green at Comerica.

I did not see any but that does not mean it does not exist. I had the third baseman hang over the wall in the stands and snag a ball on me.

What new infield throw animations did you see? specifically SS-->1st 3rd-->1st

Either way, we made out feelings known when we were there. I know I pulled some guys off to the side and spoke about it. If you're not happy with it in '09, at least they know how we feel about it.
Yeah this was what i was talking about. It's good to know that SCEA knows about it. Hopefully next year it can be fixed

-I saw the ss bare hand a slow bouncing ball and fire it to first.
-The signature Jeter jump and throw.

While I am thinking about it, I jumped straight up in the air with Jeter for a line drive and it skipped off my glove and went into the outfield in an entirely different direction causing the outfielder to go chasing after it.

With regards to third base, it lives up to its name as the hot corner this year. The balls get scorched down the line and you really need to play the walls properly. I saw hits pass the bag fair then end up tracking past the foul line and slam into the wall. You need to prepare for this more. We did not see too much of this last year.

The biggest thing you will notice is everything happens in one fluid motion.

Getting balls down the line for doubles are huge. To me that is an innervation. How many games did that? I can't remember any.

Holy cow, finally made it to the end of the thread. That will teach me for being away from OS all day. Whew, I think my brain is melting! Seriously, thanks again you guys for all the great info. From what I've read this year's game sounds truly incredible.

I'm a little disappointed that the HR Derby STILL didn't make it into the PS3 version, but I realize that this is pretty low on the importance scale. I guess it bothers me mostly because it's been in the "lesser" versions of the game for years. I understand that a tremendous amount of work is probably required to program this (Jim please don't scold me ...j/k). I know a lot of guys could probably care less about this, but it's just something that I would be able to play with my Dad and every year I look forward to it. I'm just curious if anybody from SCEA even mentioned anything at all about them working on it for next year's game (unless this is something you guys can't talk about)?

Edit: Oh well, it took me too long to type my post and now it looks like all "answer guys" have signed off for the night, man this day has been weird for me. Guess Ill try to ask in a PM or something.

Yea, im just hoping they added more throwing types...underhand rockets to first...overhead, sidearm. Just to keep that part feeling fresh. Some guys like to be flashy(rey-***, rollins) and some dig their cleats in and c ock back(Tulo)

You should be pretty pleased there is a lot going on in the infield as far a catching, throwing, etc.

I did not specifically ask maybe the others did. I can try to find out why for you. To me if it was a decision between home run derby or some type of advanced throwing, I am going to say throwing. But that is just me of course.
