I think the 4 of you have posted extensively and I am not sure how many major impression posts are forthcoming, so I'll ask my question if thats ok?

I understand the replay cameras were increased and you all seem very happy. But were gameplay camera's increased at all or tweaked? Is there a higher up cam which shows more stadium and more ball in flight?

I honestly could not tell if they were slightly tweaked or the lighting just made everything look THAT much better, unfortunately.

The lighting almost adds another dimension to the game. It's very hard to explain....but in my mind(and I did pop in '08 last night to see something).....after seeing '09...'08 looks a little "flat".
There seems to be a new depth of field when playing '09.
I hope I'm explaining it correctly....but it made everything look a little different.(in a GOOD way! )

I'm getting a little worried about '09. Sooooo many good things I've read lead me to believe Sony has created the best sports game of all time by a mile. I don't know if they can live up to the hype but I'm willing to try if they send me an early copy!

To me the default fielding cam looked to be pulled back a little more because the players looked a tad smaller from the depth of the camera. It could have been the lighting playing tricks with me but I felt like the viewing field was increased a little.

allright pared, i can live with that, specially him beeing so close to end his career...
his delivery aint that bad nevertheless, i just wish he aways had the leg follow through he has when throwing from the strech.
now, i just hope he still has his real face and picture evan if he doesnt sign with any team.

Knight said 08 looks flat, he's right. The lighting added depth to everything. When you see the batter in front of the catcher, in front of the ump, in front of the crowd, there is more separation between them.

I think they all worked well. Jim and Nem both messed with them.

As far as the catcher calling the game - unbelievably awesome. The only thing I did NOT like (very minor) is the catcher would heavily rely on the fastball early on in the game no matter the pitcher. As the game went on you saw a lot more off-speed stuff. You could see the fingers very clearly.

Maybe the pitcher wanted to "Announce His Presence with Authority"
