I actually had a no-hitter going into the fifth! Tied 0-0, I'm playing as the Rays, veteran mode.
Bottom of the fifth, I made a crucial mistake-----I shook off the catcher's sign (fastball) and went instead with a slider.I felt like I was pitching too many fastballs, so I chose the slider, against Victorino.
He slammed a game winning homerun over the right field wall.

Final score, 1-0 Phils.

I felt just like Kazmir when he threw his glove against the dugout wall.

I'd have to say overall I couldn't be more happy about the update we're getting this year for The Show series.

I know from any demo I've played for any type of platform that you'll not get what you will in the retail version 99 percent of the times. Most quality games "like The Show" are almost constantly tweaking and perfecting there title right until it's gold, and than for some time after that also. So I would just hazard to guess that any "obvious" glitches/bugs won't be there come the 3rd.

These guys also have an a great record of fixing most problems that we might filter out when it gets released so I'm sleeping fine, yet restless until the darn game comes out!

How bout everyone just leave it be and lets get back to Demo talk. We get it, you dont like the PM, everyone has said their piece now.

Im hesitant to mess with any sliders in the demo becuase they may nto translate over to the retail version. And i would DEFINITELY like to know what the catcher's signals mean in relation to height and side of the pitch.

You could've just PM'd him back and not subject the rest of us to this nonsense. And yes, you can forward PM's to a mod that you feel are in threats or personal attacks or whatnot.

Back to the demo. Taternuts, I've seen doubles in the gaps but I still havent' seen a flyball hit directly over an outfielder's head. I've had some that were off on angles that they couldn't track down, but none where they just back pedal in a straight line and fail to get to the ball. The outfielders still seem to play extremely deep.

Ive noticed the deep play also. Everytime i have Utley, Howard or (i think ) Victorino up, the outfield starts out close to the warning track.

Ya I agree that the outfielders still seem to play too deep in the demo

I still have not seen a ball go "directly" over an outfielders head in the demo

Only situation I have seen is when the outfielder can't track down the ball in the gap and it goes over him which is still a new improvement this year

Dude that is uncalled for. Who ever did this needs to grow up!!! I would give it to a mod. If we have people like this then they need to leave.

I guess we have to rememeber it is just a demo. I am sure they had to let some things out of hit. So I bet when the real game comes out, it will have more of a hit variety.
