Someone had it right earlier.

Two taps = high
three taps = medium
four taps = low
five taps = low down the middle

Do we know this for sure? I'll see him give me a "1", 4 pats, then pat the catcher's left leg and it's been 2 inside pitches one low one high...I really wish we could get official instructions on the signs, so I can read the location without having to see the flaming ball.
