the game gets shipped from cali right? So it makes sense why places in cali already got it and no one east has. So the game was most likely shipped tuesday or wednesday and will get to the midwest and east most likely friday saturday.

its already in the Louisville area. Two local Best Buys already have the game but know not to sell until Tuesday.

Yeah it's here as well, but mom and pop stores have been pretty much run out of business, I do not even know of one around here.

Its here in Wichita Ks. I talked to my buddy at the Gamestop last night and he said it was here, but he couldnt sell it until Tuesday due to the street date. I begged with all my might, but no dice. I am going to go out looking again at other stores during my lunch.

so you've seen the game or you called them and they told you they have it?

I was in Best Buy by my house to pick up a CD and just asked if they had it. The girl looked on the cpu and told that they do have them in the back but they are locked up and cannot be sold until the 3rd(Tuesday)

My buddy tried a Best Buy over by his house and got the same thing basically.

stores can be fined if they are caught selling a game prior to street date.

I got NCAA '06 at a CompUSA in Louisville and later found out they were fined by EA(according to CompUSA)

yeah...there's some debate on exactly what or how much it is...but there have been plenty of posts lately talking about the fact there is a pentalty. There actually are some people who work at walmarts/kmarts and such who are doing the posting, so they are coming from good sources.

...i digress...this has already been discussed in another post, so we should probably keep this to the topic at hand.

So if they get fined does the early selling outweigh the fines that are levied out. Seems like it would be, bad business practices to sell early.
