    Awesome coincidence.

Rod Barajas comes up to Ice Cube's "Ghetto Bird." He comes up with men on 1st and 2nd with two outs, and it flashes to a cutscene of Ace (who of course, is a giant bird), busting out some moves.

I laughed, and then K'd on three pitches

so what do you guys think i should do i had already started a franchise but i've since deleted it. downloaded the latest roster update. i amvery anxious to start so should i just start now? or should i wait for the last roster update before opening day. or should i start my franchise but turn on the cpu roster control option to make any changes? such a tough decision it really is

For me it would depend. If I were doing well on my Franchise I would continue, or if I were 30 or so games into it. It these 2 don't apply I'd just ditch it and wait.

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions

Ok so I simulated a season and all in all stats were fairly realistic! The 2 that really stood out were Howard with 63 which is still in his realm of achievement, but Aramis Ramirez ended with 50 Homers? I was like what the eff? A couple of other players had homers in the 30's that were a little off to but not enough to say that it was totally inaccurate. Trades seemed okay nothing too crazy. The Yanks traded Burnett for Joey Devine hmmmm? Angels traded Lackey for Young! I mean at least the teams traded for things they need def relief help for the Yanks cause Hughes was 17-7. Then I decided to play game 6 of the world series to kick the red sux ***! I was the Cubs. playing on legend. I am pretty damn good on legend but scea must have made it very hard to play in the World Series. Lost game 6 5-0 Oswalt got rocked (yeah they traded for Oswalt) Then game 7 i lost 2-1. Pretty cool to know that the World Series is not a cake walk. Really intense! Just wanted to throw that out there dont know if anyone has already? And after all the bitching I made earlier I was totally wrong this game is genius! Plus when I was pitching i was trying to always hit the red then the line rather than varying it.

I'm now 0-6 vs. the CPU. I've only scored one run (a home run by David Ortiz). But I'm still really enjoying the game. I just need to tweak it a little and get a bit better. I can't think of many games in which I would be 0-6 and having fun.

Does anyone else think the crowd booos way too much? If the opposing team brings in a new pitcher; boooo. If a hitter comes to bat; booooo. a run scores on a double play; boooo. The only time the crowd really boos is if the pitcher is getting crushed or they really can't stand the hitter.

i found a ump with worse eyes then Woddy Keller.

I forget his name off the top of my head but his strike zone is wider then the gates of hell itself.

that S.O.B rung me up on a slider that was so far out of the zone i woulda needed a boat oar to make contact.

youll know who it is when you get him...he called that wide strike on more then one occasion, and wouldnt give ANYTHING up in the zone.

hes like Woody Kellers evil twin brother

I prefer the man who's a surgeon in the off season, Edmund "Doc" Bryant.
