I'm going to face all ACE's in the rotation and see if it's just really hard to get hits against true ACE pitchers using (Swing Only)

BTW... in that 2nd game I got 3 doubles (2 GAPPERS & 1 DOWN THE LINE) 1 triple (GAP SHOT) and 3 Hr's (1 to LF w/KEMP & 2 TO RF w/Loney & DeWitt) just using X with no aiming
That's good to hear. Russell is right about giving the game a chance before panicking and running off to the sliders.

I've only played 5 games, but thus far I'm loving Legend with no slider attention. I'm 0-5, but still!

The games have been getting closer. I lost to the Mets in game 3 of the NLDS - after a simmed a season - 2-1 in 11 innings. Really pissed me off, but I didn't destroy a controller or wake up anyone by yelling. That means I'm having fun!

First, this game is great. Simply amazing. That being said, I'll express some frustration.

        1. It doesn't seem like balls going through fielders was corrected. I had a situation where a ball skipped right by my fielder and he made no attempt to field the ball. I'm not sure if maybe I just wasn't close enough, but he had ample time to get into a "pick the ball up" animation as it rolled to him. Instead, he ran to the ball and it skipped to the wall which resulted in a triple for the opposing team.

        2. I really wish the replay feature was more robust. It could just be that I haven't figured it out, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have the footage cut to a new angle during a recording without actually moving the camera yourself. 2K did this right with ReelMaker. I hope that SCEA can continue to refine this.

But, hey, the fielder issue happened once and it's quite possible I messed up, though, I don't get why the guy just didn't get into the animation, and the video thing isn't as serious (I really wanted to have some sweet captures ) Those are my issues thus far and they don't come close to outweighing the positives.

        Great game.

I haven't looked at it much, but in the options there is an option to have the one button dive/jump ON/OFF. I'm not sure how it works, but I know that when up at SCEA I had a second baseman go in the hole and I pushed the shoulder button (forget which one it is) to have my fielder dive and instead he stretched out and grabbed the ball.

It's my understanding, and again I haven't sat down to too much gameplay yet that this is what the AI will do for you. DON"T HOLD ME TO THIS as I'm having trouble remembering exactly, but try this on those plays. I'll give it a go later too.

Can we edit the fake players name to real minor leaguers or whatever? Sorry I'll be new to this series.

Jim, I can't just hit X, I've always had a habit of hitting X plus using the left stick in the direction of my swing, not even sure if that is helping me or hurting me, but I get good hits.

I must say that I am in awe of how beautiful this game is. My hats off to the SCEA guys. This game is great. I must say though there are way to many people at Camden Yards...That place is usually a ghost town. But if that is all I've got to gripe about....

Jim, if I up the power slider a little, will I get a realistic amount of homers just by pressing X??

                    Thanks.

if you look at the top of the roster update(where it shows the moves) it says those moves are for March 3rd.

I did the same thing too, I saw that update and was excited to start my franchise, but they weren't available.

Guess I'll either move the guys myself and be minus the added guys(Bako, Wilkerson) or I'll just wait until Tuesday to have my opening day.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                          Online is a lag fest

Too bad as I really was hoping this game would serve my online league needs. Hopefully the other game can come through.

can anyone with the game check out jacobs field and see if there is fan interaction on the home run porch in LF?

                            thanks!

I don't know. The games hitting and pitching have really changed. Like me, I'm just going to have to have a bunch of practice games. I understand a patch may be release at the end of next week to address some problems, so I'm just going to test this baby out and not start my franchise until then.

LOL, I can't use the stick, although occassionally I'll hold down on it if I think the next pitch might be down in the zone. For me, far to early to tell what I'm going to do as it's really a different feel from 08.
