You most def. will with this one. I give the SCEA guys tons of credit. Also, thanks to Jim, Knight, and Nemesis for giving us early information before the game released.

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions

Just had a great game. (All Star level, all aids off, pitch speed down, swing only, other sliders default)

Cards vs. Padres (me) Wainwright v. Geer

Headley gave me an early lead with this homerun to right.

In the 6th Geer started to fall apart with a lead off blooper to left field.

Almost pulled off a double play but runner at first beat it out.

Mr. Pujols hit a monster shot to deep left center.

Next batter tripled and that was it for Geer

Brought in Reineke who walked the first man he faced and then gave up a double down in the left field corner. At that time, my eyes blurred and I decided it was time for bed after a long preliminary day with The Show.

      Loving it.

Im 3 games into my franchise and so far every player every team has long sleeves. Maybe its because its Winter, i don't know, but so far thats how it is.

I noticed Headley is wearing # 7 this year? He was wearing 16 last year.

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions

Absolutely in love with this game. All of the minor tweaks go a LONG way in making this my favorite sports game ever.

Is it just me, or is the Hall of Fame difficulty a lot more difficult than last year's game? I'm getting rocked in some games. Hitting is no where near as easy as it used to be.

Also, has anyone who's played through franchise noticed a higher number of injuries on your team? What about errors? Does everyone on the field commit errors at some point? I'm only 4 games into my franchise so I haven't seen much of this.

Lastly, does anybody know where I can find descriptions of what each Training Assignment affects in franchise mode? I made a thread but I want to ask here just in case.

Give a try Blzer.....I love batting from that view, you get to actually play and feel like your watching a game on TV at the same time

I see pitch breaks better when using Outfield view, also you get a better look at your players batting stances and get to see their HR swing animations

The only real differences are the depth perception is different from the broadcast view and might effect your timing a little a first and the camera view changes after the ball is hit which causes a slight delay on the play so you have to have fast reflexes at times to make fielding plays

Let me know what you think about it

When you guys get the game make sure you let the opening intro's play out. They are very well done and immediately gets you in the baseball mood. They will also vary every time you start the game up.

I picked up a Sony Bravia 46" 1080p 120Hz yesterday and I gotta say that this game is running smooth as butter on it at 1080p.

I can't get over the difference in detail to the stadiums and players running at 1080p. I am not experiencing any framerate issues at all.

The game is absolutely stunning at 1080p......just amazing
