Is it true that 1080p runs smoothly in some stadiums, but not in all? I thought I read that it runs great at Citi but horrible at Yankee Stadium.

It is the speed of the image refresh

120Hz refreshes at twice the speed of 60Hz and therefore moving images look smoother, reduces blur, etc.

I just did it to make sure.

Had a 1:00 Braves vs. Nats game...
and a 1:00 Mets vs. Marlins game(trying to get two East Coast games)

Went in and started the Braves vs. Nats. Once in game I simmed it out.
I then went back to the schedule and am playing the Mets vs. Marlins game right now.

        edit again:

Ok, I ran a test and yea, as long as you play the games in order. If two games are at 7 and you play the game listed second, the game will sim the first game.

If you play the first game, then you can go back and play the second.

I've played at a bunch pf stadiums, I did notice a couple slight hiccups at Yankee Stadium.....but nothing even close to affecting the gameplay or my enjoyment.

99% of the time the framerate is excellent......but I'll sacrifice that 1% random hiccup for how beautiful everything else looks in 1080p

I had a 720p Samsing DLP - the picture was OK
I just bought a 1080p Sony Bravia LCD 120Hz and the pciture is absolutely stunning.

I can't believe the difference form playing the demo at 720p on my Samsung to playing it on 1080p on my new Sony. NIGHT AND DAY difference.

I poppped in NHL09 on the XBOX360 at 1080p and WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE in that game also

I think you would need a new TV - the TV has to support it.

Any experts that can clarify this?

you guys should just go with plasma then you don't have any refresh stuff to worry about, and you can forget about that burn-in crap, doesn't happen with new plasmas.

You have to have a TV that runs at 120hz, and a HDMI cable that is 120hz.

I agree. Plus I think the picture is better. I might have some people argue with me. But my friend has a 50" plasma and I have a 46" 120hz LCD and I really think the picture is better on mine.

Ya I think it looks better too, but that would/could be argued forever..lol I have a friend who swears by plasma. He's the only one who has one so I think he feels the need to defend it or something haha.

I think they're holding it off so once they've perfected the offline game (close, so close) there's still a reason to buy it the next year other than a roster upgrade.
