As far as not getting enough Ks, it seems like ebbs and flows to me, just like baseball. With my RTTS guy, I got 2 strikeouts in my first nine innings, then struck out 9 in my next 8.1 It's too small of a sample size to make a definitive judgement, but the duels I have had with the batters have felt realistic.

The next I hit no homeruns, get 7 singles, a double, and a triple. The last game I get 5 hits and three of them are extra base hits. It's just so random that I couldn't even tell you where to start with sliders.

When I see that sort of randomness (a good randomness), I don't see a reason to adjust sliders because what am I trying to adjust?

Bingo its nearly impossible to get a full for the new sliders without playing a large sample of games before hand. Without it you really won't have a baseline to go on.

The only sliders I have touched so far is Pitcher Control and Consistency (still trying holding out hope that I will get that realistic K/BB ratio. If not, I will go too classic, but I haven't played enough to know) and CPU power, which I turned down because I was giving up WAY too many homers in Spring Training, though I turned it back up a bit because i haven't given one up since I started the regular season.

I haven't touched sliders, nor do I intend to, unless its the injury slider. I've played quite a few games and I have to tell you this game is extremely balanced in my opinion.

I think the issue is that people go into a game expecting to see x amount of walks, x amount of doubles, x amount of x, y, z. I'm not saying this is wrong, but just how it is seemingly.

I think you just have to play the game and let things happen.

Wow, i just had an absolute blast w/ a game between my REDS vs Brew crew.

Johny Cueto pitching line: 8 inn 4 hits 13Ks
Reds hammered the Brewers behind Phillips, EE, Votto, & Hernandez 5HRs
14-4 Weeks hit a solo shot...& Bernie came down the slide

the game took place during the day. the scene was breath taking. man i LOVE how the coaches get on the players & the people filing out during a blow out.
I have the fielder reaction & speed to zero...& I've seen HIGH fly balls go over the OFs heads...LOVE IT!

global...i usually let the cpu field. i just pitch & bat. I've seen my players not get to a ball over their heads & vice/versa w/ cpu it seems the OFs misplay fly balls too...which is realistic.

I'm really starting to enjoy this game. After spending about an hour and a half in batting practice, I'm finally starting to hit( two run hr. with Texiera last game) and I'm striking out less!

                        Homeruns.

Am I the only one that wants to see the player trot all the way around the bases? Its such a huge deal to crush one, particularly in a big game, I would love to have the opportunity to watch him soak it all in as he hits each bag. The homeruns are over in a flash in this game....and its interesting cuz they show the full animation of someone WALKING to first base, but not the full HR trot.

Id like to see the trot, home plate celebration, couple replays from different angles, pitcher reaction, etc.

we can always press x if we want to move on.

                        now back to playing!
110% agree, i've been meaning to post this!!

Thadeus, it's not that but you're stating it like it's fact about not swinging at pitches out of the zone. Just not the case. Yep, hitting IS more difficult this year. All CB was saying is you need more practice, and he may be right, or you may never be able to improve.
