happened to me but what exactly is crazy about it? I looked at the replay for mine and the angle of return is exactly where it should be based on where the ball hit the rubber. How is this a glitch?

That happened to me twice yesterday. I was afraid I messed something up. I deleted some files and it has been smooth since, but now every time i start the game up I fear for that freeze.

I think this has something to do with your internet.
Disable auto sign-in and you should not get any problems. It happened to me once in '08.

              Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***

This has happened twice now. In RTTS my guy hit a 3 run homer to win the game. I go into replay vault after the game and start taking screen shots and replays but then it won't let me leave replay mode. I hold down the PS button and get the no access symbol. So my only option is to quit the game and lose my GAME WINNING 3 RUN HOMER. I'm struggling enough as it is in RTTS and to have that wiped out is so *()*U(*U(*U(JKJ3 frustrating.

So I just pinched hit in the 9th inning and hit another homer. I save the replay and same thing happens. Can someone please help?

Edit: I'm still stuck in replay mode and hit L3 button it doesn't record.
I've recorded replays in the past no problem it's only when I hit a dramatic home run.

During an end of inning cutscene a Rangers player gets out, and when he takes off his helmet it is the original plain blue Rangers helmet and not the 2-tone helmet that he was wearing at bat....

Oh found a awesome one. 0 outs, bases loaded.. Infield in.. I hit a little blooper over the 3b head... As he's running back and has no chance at the ball because he was playing in, they call "infield fly"... are you serious? so many plays that would normally be infield fly they don't even call and then the ONE play that is not even close to one is called it.. GIVE ME A BREAK. I tell you what, overall, these people need to get some devs that KNOW BASEBALL and the rules of the game. Yeah everyone says its a great game but the 5% of the stuff that separates the average to above average fan from the person that knows everything about the game ISN'T IN THE GAME.. Pretty damn incomplete that you can't get foul balls correct, or infield fly, and catchers dont drop belt high fastballs 6 inches off the outside of the plate 4 times a game ON THEIR WORST DAY, a pitching staff doesn't hit .300 in a season, when you guess a pitch correctly the pitcher never says "YUP YOU'RE RIGHT", the fielding animations are still stupid and build momentum towards doing the wrong thing (throwing when u can step on a base 4 steps away), and umm, why are we relying on a outside source to get correct rosters? Don't advertise AAA when you have made up people, don't advertise the most realistic baseball game because half the pitchers don't even have the correct PITCHES much less accurate stats. When you compete with 2k garbage it's not hard to be the best but jesus.. Starting to churn out the same crap as Madden each year.

I have played this game a lot, and I have never seen most of the things you mentioned. The ones I have seen are so rare that they are not even close to what I'd call an issue. I'm not saying that this game does not have bugs, but it is a video game after all. Overall, I'd say this game definitely lives up to the hype of most realistic baseball game out there. Judging by the many posts agreeing with me (many by folks that KNOW BASEBALL and the rules), I'd say that is a fair assessment. BTW, I'm pretty sure the devs KNOW BASEBALL and the rules as well...I'd be willing to bet better than you.

Batting practice on my game does not work at all. My guy gets to the plate and no matter what button I push, nothing works. I even sat and watched all 20 pitches, once the batting practice was over my discipline got higher, but I could not move from this screen. I hit every button on the controller and the only one that worked is the PS button then I exit the game and have to start over. Does anyone know how to fix this??

Another batting practice glitch here. That makes two different kinds regarding this one. Just curious, RTTS?

In both RTTS and in regular practice mode.

The Show doesn't have real minor leaguers because they're not in the MLBPA. To include them in the game would require separate licenses for each and every player. So unless you're willing to play over a thousand dollars for this game, it ain't gonna happen.

I'm playing as the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox AA) and on May 18, I'm asked if I want to participate in batting practice, so I do... except there is a magical floating bat in the cutscene in which I'm assuming there's supposed to be a player. My player I'm controlling shows up along with the hitting coach and they're talking and the previously mentioned "magically floating bat" moves up to the plate and gets ready to swing. It cuts to the batting practice and there is no one at the plate and the pitcher just stands there. Nothing happens except it leaves me feeling bummed out that I can't take part of batting practice because of this glitch.

I think I should PM this to the developers too. Anyways, I think I might have to skip this training to my disappointment.
I'm having the exact same problem and it's really frustrating. I mean, I'm still enjoying how much I suck at AA and I'm working through my career, but these training points would be huge for me to actually increase my skills. Instead I have to just skip them.

MVP2k5 is actually voted to be the most realistic baseball game of all time. This is just the most realistic CURRENT baseball game.
Judging by the fact that they don't know the different rules of what the requirements are for a ball to be fair or foul, or how many bases someone gets on a overthrow into the crowd it's a pretty safe bet to say I know the rules better.. Considering they develop video games and I have over 20 years of playing/coaching/umpiring and now actually working for a local AA team, I'm going to bet I know the rules a little better. Not to mention half the pitchers don't even have their pitches and an independent team has to go through and take a month and a half to fix it. It was fun watching the Mets today and Ralph Keiner talking about Santana's Curveball and 2 variations of sliders... So I guess the devs just got lazy and left out the other HALF of his pitches.. We're talking about a 2x Cy Young winner who had the best ERA in the majors last year, not some scrub... but I guess they never watched a single mets game because they know baseball so well they don't need to.
I'm not going to get into a flame war about it but people need to realize that some people eat and breathe baseball and are qualified to make statements.. Any game where u guess a pitch and it says
"HEY THATS RIGHT!!!" is about as real as back to the future.
