Yeah, it's new players. Simmed a bunch of years in franchise and I heard a bunch of totally mismatched names playing a world series game.

Trophy bug possibly here? - This is regarding the shutout trophy. I was playing RTTS with my closing pitcher and entered a game at the start of the bottom of the 8th. I struck out the first batter, #2 flew out to right and #3 struck out looking. The game ended with my team losing 4-0 and it beeped saying I got the shutout trophy. As I understand it, I have to throw a full 9-inning shutout against the computer on all-star or better to get this correct? So I shouldn't EVEN have this by now.

I've popped in and out of this thread and havent seen this mentioned. If so, i apologize.
In my RTTS, I'm in AAA with the Pawtucket Red Sox. When playing the Scranton / WB Yankees, the PA announcer always says "Now batting for the Red Barons..."
SWB was the AAA affiliate of the Phillies and they WERE named the Red Barons up until the 2008 season.

Sorry for not reading all these pages, but do you guys have to reset the game when you try and use the record feature??

I have tried twice now in the middle of a game to record a home run and I couldn't get back to the game.

yeah it's been mentioned a few times in here. Hopefully it will be fixed in a patch.

One thing I've noticed is, if you try to record (R3), but instead, you instantly get the message that the video is done, DO NOT TRY TO RECORD AGAIN. Exit replay mode right away. It's seems the game only locks if you try recording a second time, at least in my experience.

You'll still be unable to record or take screen shots until you exit and restart the game, but at least this allows you to finish the current game.

Not a bug but something which should be changed. Second positions for prospects are randomly generated which leads to some odd combinations. C, 2b, ss...Lf, 2b, 3b...stuff like that.

Played a full game last night and saw the cpu pitching coach come out twice in one inning, with the same pitcher on the mound. From what I know a second trip to the same pitcher in the same inning will cause this pitcher’s automatic removal under MLB rules.

Playing as the Dodgers against the Padres bottom of the sixth my first guy coming up to bat and I pause and goto the bullpen screen to warm a pitcher up and it won't let me leave saying I need to replace Josh Geer??? Josh Geer is the Padres pitcher and I can't get out of the bullpen screen, stuck there now and I think I'm going to have to quit my game. Sucks since it's a 2-2 tie.

I just had this one happen to me (managing franchise game, Pirates vs Cardinals). I think it's triggered when you go to your bullpen before the CPU's newly inserted reliever has thrown a pitch. At least that's how it happened to me.

Playing my RTTS as my starting pitcher. I'm in my 3rd year, first year in the majors. I'm 1/2 way through the season and now all of a sudden my PS3 resets when I "sim to next appearance". I've narrowed it down to it reseting when it tries to sim this certain day of the week. It can't get past that one date for some reason.

UGH! I don't want to start over.

I don't care i'm gonna say it again. COMEBACK CODE! Why would sony even put this in the game? What was the reasoning and who would even want this option. It is indeed in this game no matter what you set the option to. It has ruined this game for me because no matter what you do their are games you just cannot win! It interfears with franchise stats and makes the game unplayable. I am just wondering now why would they even put the option in the game? I mean what was the purpose? Take this BS out of 10', final grade I give MLB 09' the show 6/10 after 100 games... 08' the show was a 9

I obviously haven't read this whole thread so not sure if this was mentioned. I thought of doing a search but this was so odd, I honestly wouldn't know how to search for it so bear with me please. I actually have seen so few issues with the game at least anything to really bug me that I have never really checked out this thread. I also came to the PS3 and this game later than most as my wife surprised me about a month or so into the season with a PS3 and this game after being a 360 and PSP only person for so long. Yes my wife is cool.

Anyways, I am playing an A's franchise with Knights rosters with my own updates for the trade deadline deals. I restarted a franchise with these rosters. I am just starting the first game in May against Seattle. I play the first game of every series and then I sim all other games by going thwough the sports connect manager and then quiting to sim, that way I can set up the batting order and make any changes as I see fit for every game.

So enough back story. I am in the first inning and I have Adam Kennedy on second after he got a single of started Ian Snell and then moved to second on a wild pitch. Two pitches later I hit a screaming line drive with Hairston right back at the pitcher. It hits Snell and bounces back so fast it ends up next to the Seattle catcher, with Hairston not even moving and the announcer says foul ball. So already I am pretty freaked out. Not really sure why they call it a foul, that in itself could be a glitch, but am thinking maybe I didn't see the ball hit the ground first or something. But the real glitch comes as the game goes to an aerial view from a little into the infield looking down on the plate, with hairston standing there in his batting stance and the catcher in that pause the catchers do after a foul ball, but like I said all this from an aerial view. The ball is sitting next to the catcher and the game doesn't allow me to do anything. Or so I think at first. I am able to make Kennedy take third and then even score. He scores and the game says he scores and updates the score, but stays locked in this view. Ball still next to the catcher and Hairston in his stance. I couldn't even quit the game from the pause menu. I had to hit my PS3 button on the remote and quit the entire The Show game and go back to the front end of the PS3.

This was extremely odd to say the least. Not even that big of a deal considering I was still in the first inning and this is the only time it has happened. Mainly posting because it shocked me so much and wanted to know if anyone has seen anything like this in the game?

Never seen that one. I know a guy posted the ball that's hit down on the plate and it stays on the plate and nobody moves, except the batter runs to first and is safe.

There are also a couple dead zones to the left and right of the pitcher where, on some bunts, some slow choppers, he'll move to this left/right and just run past the ball that he should have easily fielded, so if you see that it's a glitch and SCEA is aware of it.

This weird glitch happened the other day:

I was down 2-0 to the Tigers. Tigers at the plate, men on second and third, 2 outs. I'm about to get out of the eighth inning, when........

A routine flyball to left field. My left fielder (Francisco) kind of walks noncholantly(sp) to where the ball is gonna land, not even looking up, just walking.....then all of a sudden, he dives head first for no reason whatsoever and misses. The ball rolls to the outfield wall, two runs score.

Auto fielding ON, because I s*ck at manual fielding. Up to this point, never had a problem with auto fielding.

This is in my Indians franchise. Cost me that game, and subsequently I got swept by Detroit and am now 3.5 games behind them in second place in the AL Central.

Too funky. Hope I don't see that again for a loooooong time.
