This weird glitch happened the other day:

I was down 2-0 to the Tigers. Tigers at the plate, men on second and third, 2 outs. I'm about to get out of the eighth inning, when........

A routine flyball to left field. My left fielder (Francisco) kind of walks noncholantly(sp) to where the ball is gonna land, not even looking up, just walking.....then all of a sudden, he dives head first for no reason whatsoever and misses. The ball rolls to the outfield wall, two runs score.

Auto fielding ON, because I s*ck at manual fielding. Up to this point, never had a problem with auto fielding.

This is in my Indians franchise. Cost me that game, and subsequently I got swept by Detroit and am now 3.5 games behind them in second place in the AL Central.

Too funky. Hope I don't see that again for a loooooong time.

I have had auto fielding on since I purchased this game and this happens sometimes, albeit rarely.

Sadly, I just noticed that I have contributed more posts than any other single member in this thread.

Anyway, to quote an old post of mine:

I pinch hit Chris Duncan a half inning prior to pulling a double switch. I replaced him with another pitcher between innings, but for some reason Duncan was out there pitching. I said "ehh what the hell" and went on to throw a pitch that was fouled off, and then there was finally the cut scene with LaRussa calling time for the double switch, putting in Ryan Franklin appropriately. It was just weird that it took a pitch to get 'er done.

Others denied ever witnessing this, and I wouldn't say that this happens every time (or even like 5% of the time), but I have experienced this at least five times now within maybe the past month of playing. I pinch hit somebody and go with a double switch, but my pinch hitter stays on the mound (I guess the pitcher is playing the field for the first pitch or something) then my manager will finally come out after the first pitch.

I just wanted to bring this up to see if anyone else has seen this yet and if maybe I'm accidentally doing something wrong these times that I see this.

I havent read all 71 pages and I would guess that it has been mentioned already but if it hasnt then... After the AI pitcher walks there first batter they are visited by the pitching coach.
