Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Here's some bugs and glitches I notice:
When the pitching coach/manager come out of the dugout they turn from black to white or white to black...
On homeruns, the baserunner sometimes doesn't touch second or third base..totally rounds it off
The pitching coach came to the mound for a visit twice in the same inning without taking the pitcher out...this is a MLB rule that a pitcher must come out after the second mound visit in the same inning.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I ran into an interesting one last night too.
I was playing as the Giants vs. the Dodgers at AT&T, Cain v. Billingsly. I gave up a couple of first inning runs and then in the bottom of the first the Dodgers took Russell Martin and Casey Blake out and replaced them with Brad Ausmus and Blake DeWitt (who slid over to 2B with Mark Loretta going to 3B).
No injuries, nothing. They just up and took them out of the game in the first inning. Very odd indeed and it speaks to the funky CPU AI this game is apparently infected with.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I saw both of these mentioned earlier but more info is always good.
Playing RTTS with a SS for the Reds and it's still ST, I had double play problems when the ball was hit to first base. Once there was only a man on first the other time there were runners on 1st and 2nd. The first baseman fields the ball and throws it immediately to me while I'm on my way to cover 2nd. I assume he will throw it to the bag but instead my SS stops and receives the throw half way to the bag. While the ball was in the air I preloaded my throw to first base and this causes my player's animation to stutterstep and the throw to 1st base is too late also with the pitcher covering. Both runners are safe since i wasn't on 2nd base yet and the slow stutterstep throw to 1st.
My first RTTS SS was drafted by the Angels (who I dispise) so i started a new one. Scioscia would tell me where he wanted to me to line up defensivly, Baker for the Reds will not.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
It's been mentioned before but I haven't seen it gain much momentum but it's a huge issue.
In RTTS the batter is not showing up for batting practice training when offered. The first couple times it was fine, now the last couple of times there's no batter, just the pitcher standing on the mound staring at you. He doesn't throw any pitches. The only way to get past this is to exit out and move on. You can't get any points for this session.
This is a big deal, and I've seen on here a few people with this issue. Is anyone late in the summer months of their RTTS that can confirm they have not had this issue? Are only a select few of us affected or is this a widespread bug and people just haven't played long into their RTTS to notice? I noticed this happen starting after ST in mine.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Major problem... read back a few pages and didn't see it so I'll post it. Very sorry if it has been reported already. It seems that when I am editing my pitching rotations in my franchise I hit the AAA closer my game shuts off and goes to my PS3 XMB. The game will not restart unless I restart the whole system. It has occurred twice now. Very strange and has the potential to be very troublesome.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Sorry if anyone mentioned this, I simmed ahead a couple of seasons and noticed that during the draft even though it shows the target sign on prospects that my scouts scouted, there is no info when choosing who to draft. Bascially you are going in blind, I hope this gets fixed, otherwise what is the point of the scouts.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
This game is awesome.. but a few things jumped out at me right away..
1 - RTTS as a 3rd baseman.. regardless of the situation, if I backup a few steps, the batter will bunt. a few situations that made me laugh:
A-roid batting with the bases loaded. squares up and bunts into a 2-6-3 double play.
Chris Duncan pinch hits for the pitcher with the bases empty.. squares up and bunts...
2 - They've added compensatory draft picks for losing free agents.. Fantastic.. only problem is that they forgot to add more players.. just like previous years, the draft ends when the world runs out of humans to draft, I tried twice and got 23 picks into the 5th round once, and 5 the second time. This doesn't matter so much because players pick after the first round will never get near the majors, and they're totally random anyway (5'8 160lb first basemen that run well, but terrible D and no power)
3 - Scouting doesn't appear to work.. for the very few players that do have a target beside them, there is no info at all in the player card.
4 - Players that have accomplished little/nothing, or haven't even played in the majors will demand outrageous salaries based on their rating. Especially pitchers.
5 - RTTS: Still way too many unresponsive moments, when playing D or running bases.
6 - Franchise.. No MLB team rides a coach bus from Toronto to L.A., a weight room doesn't cost 5 million dollars a year to maintain.. No team in baseball has 5 snack carts and 10 peanut guys to serve 40,000 fans. Why not just simplify this and set maintenance, vendor, and travel costs?
7 - players potential ratings make no sense.. 35 year old stars still have an A, and a guy like Travis Snider has a C. This cannot be edited at all.
8 - Hiring a coach in franchise is awful.. just a massive unsortable list of randomness.. with a few stats categories as you scroll down.
Most of these problems have existed for years.. how do they miss these things?
Overall the game is great, but when it comes to RTTS and franchise, these small things become big things. Especially when online is unplayable.Comment

Spot on man. So many things that should not be happening after a few years of this game becoming the best baseball game on the market.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I created two players from scratch last night. They are both switch hitters so I selected single flap/new style helmets. However, during the game, they literally only have one flap (right side) no matter what side of the plate they are hitting from. Looks a bit awkward.
Am I missing something here? Are we forced to go double flap?"The older I get, the faster I was!"

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
So, if I read correctly, on sports connect there is a message that the live roster problem has been fixed. We just have to wait for patch to get posted be sony, right? If so, I'll wait to start my franchise then.Things are looking up for sports gaming!Comment
