If anyone is not going to buy this game over little bugs then all I can say is YOUR LOSS. I have seen the actual creation of some video games, and everyone is right...it is impossible to get a 99% bug free game...lol. I don't believe it will EVER happen or EVER could happen. SCEA will fix what is wrong to their best of ability. THE SHOW 2009 is the best basball game ever released to date...to me it embarrasses MVP 05....SCEA has done an amazing job and has given me everything I could want in a video baseball game. Yeah, the lighting could be more detailed with the screen not going from one point of dark blue to complete black....day time progression, etc...but I am extremely happy with what they have done with this game in one year. The commentary I have yet to notice. I play with the Tribe and have not heard an incorrect call yet. I have yet to witness anything that could be really called a bug. Just got mine yesterday and I absolutely love this game.

The 08 bug list went on for it seems decades, lol. I know a lot of people who played never encountered most all of them, or it was very infrequently. I played 90% of my franchise games last year and never saw some of the crazy stuff that was posted. To make a knee jerk response like some have, the gamekiller bug for example, is a bit premature.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time in here, but if I see something here I'll definitely try to recreate it to see if it's "really" a big deal. I want to do that basically to try to calm some of the panic and realizing that many people don't read threads from beginning to end and post a response to the last few entries.

If you look at all the fabulous things the game does right, and it is about 1% bugs, the game isn't freezing (remember that), then I'm good with it.

I'm by no means saying bugs/glitches shouldn't be posted because last year we were actually able to come up with some good workarounds (see the Workaround thread from 08), but if a gamer insist some of the bugs (for example double switch bug, which I couldn't recreate) is a killer, then.....

No, I hear ya Jim. You and I are vets at baseball videogaming..lol. I understand game killing bugs...remember I was a huge 2k supporter at one point...until I bought my PS3 for the show 08...lol. I feel SCEA as a company would not ever put out a product that is unplayable. I never noticed any huge bugs in 08 nor am I seeing any in this rendition 09. There are always small bugs like floating objects- or you see through a guys head here and there, but it never takes away the feel of the game to me and that is what counts. This is the closest game to baseball in all perfection to date. I am pleased. If they clean up the little bugs then great if not then I know I'll be fine.

Nobody should be concerned. The game plays fine. I haven't experienced many issues at all. There may be small ones that happen rarely, but that's expected. There is no such thing as bug-free software.

It's just human nature to bitch and complain and whatever. I for one will not sweat all the little things, that some would consider "game killers" Can you say overreacting.

Do you remember what stadium as this might be a stadium specific bug. Remember the pop up bug in High Heat. I think it was only Wrigley field only.

Pointing out bugs is not bitching. It does help the developers believe it our not. But expecting a perfect game now that is complaining.

I was pitching against Ryan Howard, he swings and hits the ball right on the plate, bounces back and on the plate again. None of my players were able to move and he got credited a single.

the theory of pressing L2 to make the catcher dive doesn't work because the catcher never gets out of his crouch leaving him a NCP. And since the original post was in the Phillies stadium, this doesn't look like a specific stadium issue....but mine were both day exhibition games.

the theory of pressing L2 to make the catcher dive doesn't work because the catcher never gets out of his crouch leaving him a NCP. And since the original post was in the Phillies stadium, this doesn't look like a specific stadium issue....but mine were both day exhibition games.

Oh OK, hopefully they can fix it, but if not it probably doesn't happen that much.

ofcourse, I know this 100% Scott, but when guys are complaining about the game and they dont even own it yet, that's just stupid, yes some can bitch, but about little things is just dumb. there are no game killing bugs at all.

Shoulda known. The same thing happened last year. It was at like 30+ pages by the time release day was over. It's the nature of the beast, I suppose.

I think, I'll practice what I did last year when I made that realization. I'll just pop in here if I encounter anything to see if anyone else has seen it. Several pages worth of discussion and repetition of glitches. take that away, you maybe have a hanful of glitches, and most of them very minor, and rare to boot.

Not saying that to bash the thread or anything. It's actually quite helpful in general. I'm just actually happy it all seems minor. I was kind of punched in the gut with some of the stuff I've read about the other game (before all that, I was starting to think I would be playing two games this year), so this is a relief is all

Anyway, thanks to all those with the game for the reports and the early looks...both here and in the impressions threads!

just something minor but when Beltran was up and swung and missed they called him Delgado. I've only played 1 game so havent noticed too much yet.

This also was a bug in MLB08. I Guess it wasn't fixed.

ok, after leaving the 2k9 forum i realize there are 0 bugs in this game,lol, i will call them annoyances.
