Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I started out on All-Star but I could not hit anything so I movedit down to Veteran and am getting some agerage numbers. Right now after 100 at bats in my rookie season at the MLB level (utility man) I am batting .300 with around 15 RBI's, 6 Steals, 2 Homers and a .369 OBP.Comment

Loving this mode even more than last year. Playing as a 20 year old 2B prospect for the Padres. Here are a couple of my favorite moments so far.
My first Double Play:

My first Home Run:

and my first hit for the AA Missions, just under the reach of the diving thirdbaseman:

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Man I hate my squad. I'm playing for the missions and the bullpen is screwing my wins big time. I pitched a 5-2 game into the 7th. The manager put the reliever in the 8th and this dude gave up a ton of runs , we won but I didn't get the win. My pitching is getting better but at different times during the game I was seemingly losing control and location would be wild. Don't know what I gotta do to put that in check.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
OK, someone try to replicate this. I dare you. I swear, I am not making this up, nor did I cheat in any way. As I said earlier in the thread, I was waffling between the draft and just going to who I REALLY want to play for, the Indians. Well, I decided to go with the draft. My inclination is always toward pitching, so I made a SP and was drafted by, you guessed it, the Indians. Not so big a deal. Here's where it gets improbable. I also made a 3B, in case I wanted to have a career with a hitter as well and was drafted by, you guessed it, the Indians. The odds of that happening are mind boggling.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm a Cardinals fan, and my first two RTTS guys were drafted by the Cardinals. I've made a few guys since then (I'm a perfectionist
) and none of them have been drafted by the Cardinals. Heh.
