I was playing the mets vs yanks and when the game comes on it showed Reyes and Castro talking and then Johnny Damon walks up and starts talking to them and it looks like they are all laughing and Reyes starts pushing on Damon, playing around with him. Though that was pretty cool.

I played a Red Sox/Yankees game in the stadium and when Ellsbury came up to lead off the place booed like mad, so Vasgersian starts the commentary off with. "....and here go the Yankee faithful"...loved it.Let's Go Yankees!

Re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***
To piggy back on this. I hit a homerun with Victor Martinez off Kevin Millwood, and they mentioned something about Martinez being familiar with Millwood because he used to be his battery mate. I thought that was impressive."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I was in a tight situation with Chad Billingsley. The score was 1-1 and the bases were loaded with 2 outs. Billingsley strikes out Justin Upton, then you see him walking off the mound pounding his chest with intensity. It was awesome.Comment

Re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***
I never post here, but I have to share this one- playing a night game online, and the game goes 14 innings.
After the game, Matt is doing his wrap-up comments and after his sign-off, you hear him make an inadvertent "hot mic" comment in the background of "let's get out of here before they cut the lights off..."
I mean, how real is this game?

Sorry if this has already benn posters but I was playing a game against the Red Sox and Wakefield was pitching and one of the announcers(i think its was Rex) said he went 0-8 against Wakefield in his career, and it also showed a box during a cutscene showing that.Comment

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but when I'm warming up a pitcher in the bullpen, I love when it says "Joe Blow warmed" right underneath the score at the top. No longer do I have to constantly check the bullpen to see if my pitcher is ready.Comment

Re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***
ahhhh i freaked out when i heard the CTA thing mentioned at the end. was SOO COOL!After the Cubs game is over, the PA announcer gives the final score and the winning/losing pitcher. He then proceeds to give the transportation options such as getting on the Red Line at the Addison stop. That is the actual line and the actual stop at Wrigley. Amazing detail.
The PA announcer also mentions fans can sign up for Vineline at Cubs.com. Vineline is the actual Cubs newsletter that has been around for decades.Comment
