Re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***

If these were mentioned already I apologize in advance....

I was playing as the Red Sox and I was losing, and things weren't getting any better, so Vasgersion mentions that Terry Francona must be dipping into the chewing gum bucket and stuffing his mouth. If u guys know the Red Sox at all, you'll know that when Francona gets nervous he starts jamming the chewing gum into his mouth. I thought that was hilarious when I heard them mention that.

This morning I played a game in Kansas City and there was a fly ball out to center field where Ellsbury put the ball away without issue. Immediately following the catch they show Ellsbury walking out in centerfield and in the background u can hear the water fountains flowing. I was like, what a great little touch. It was the same with the bullpen when I looked out there.

Again while playing in KC, and after the first pitch, Vasgersion mentions that the weather will be clear and high around 95 degrees. Shortly after that I notice that all the editting to the players I did all changed cuz of the weather. So instead of Pedroia wearing 3/4 sleeves, he has no sleeves cuz of the heat. As well, any player that normally wears any type of sleeve did not cuz it was too hot. I wonder what the cutoff is weather wise when they decide not to wear any type of sleeve. I thought it was interesting. I did notice that the turtleneck seems to always stay on instead of just cold weather.

This game is just plain amazing, and to hear more and more things everytime u play a game is just nuts. Thanks SCEA! Later

I hear ya,man. I saw something similar in 08: My relief pitcher threw a pitch, started looking at his elbow, then the coach and manager came out to look.
Next thing I knew, he was out for 4 weeks.

Haven't had an injury yet in 09 (knock on wood), so I'm curious how it'll look....

The in-game mention of the 'little things thread' made my jaw drop.

I just had a game vs the Reds and Edinson Volquez was pitching for them. When Kevin Kouzmanoff came up to the plate Rex Said "And these two go way back. When Kouzmanoff got called up to the majors Volquez was the very first pitcher he faced. He hit the very first pitch over the wall for a grand slam"

They also mentioned how Ramon Hernandez used to be the battery mate for Jake Peavy.

I pressed pause and went into the menus for a few minutes and in the background the PA announcer was saying something about, "if you throw objects onto the field, you will get X amount of years in jail" and the crowd booed! LOL.
