Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I saw it for the first time today and it made me nearly fall off the couch laughing.

I was playing my RTTS SP and struck out a guy looking with a very generous call on a change-up at the knees.

The batter jawed and jawed, then as he was walking past the next batter jawed some more, pointed at the ump, and did a hilarious golf swing to show how low the ball had been, then jawed at the ump some more. Priceless.

So jason bay hits this absolute rope of a solo home run and after he rounds the bases he goes into mike lowell who was on deck for a jumping chest bump and continues toward the dugout, while old-man lowell lands awkwardly and stumbles off staring back towards bay with a "what the hell man?" expression! I was like, "oh god! there goes lowell's hip or something!" It was hilarious. I've played a ton of games and this is the first time I've seen that

I let the game sit for awhile last night, and Chris Duncan snuck up behind Colby Rasmus, got down on his hands and knees, and Ludwick pushed Rasmus over Duncan.

Right after that, the Cubs started doing the wave in their dugout.

          Re: Jose Reyes

at Dodger Stadium last night (my franchise, not the REAL Mets-lol), Reyes hit a shot to left that looked at first as if if was going to be a home run that would hit the left field foul pole...

but....the drive sank right at the warning track and bounced over the wall...hitting the foul pole...

          that was nice to see

I don't wanna start a new thread but do players every stop wearing long sleeves for night games? I'm almost at the end of May in my Yankee franchise and every game is still in the 50's (according to the booth) and pretty much every player but A-Rod is wearing long sleeves. It's starting to get on my nerves.

                  Yes they do.

I have seen my Detroit players wearing short sleeves at night a few times already and im only in mid May as well.

This may have been said but I'm both a Pirate and Red Sox fan so in my first game out of the box I did a quick game between the two at PNC. Bay comes up to a huge ovation, Hudler gives a nice intro saying "the fans here miss him after the trade last year" or something to that effect, it was just really cool.

Haven't seen this posted in this thread as of yet, but here's something some of you might not have seen. I've seen it in '08 too.

Doesn't matter if it's you or the CPU that does this. Sometimes when there is a groundout to third base, a cut scene will follow showing the third baseman getting ready to throw the ball back to the pitcher, and he stops right before he throws with a shocked look on his face. Matt Vasgersian says something along the lines of: "....Annnd time will be called here as some yahoo has ran onto the field, and per the rules of Major League Baseball, our cameras won't show this to you. Security has him, and I'm sure he'll be spending the night in the pokey!"

As this is happening you also usually see the center fielder looking at the action going on. Love that line about the "pokey". lol.

                        - Fans reaching for HR ball. Looks so sweet sometimes.

                        - The DONG when it hits the foul pole. I yell DONG when I watch the replays over and over.

                        - Broadcasters announcing the gametime conditions with sleeves to match

                        - Love the dust clouds and dirt for that matter. I wanna lick it.

I threw a no-hitter in Double A with my RTTS player and the announcers started talking about the no-no in the fifth and the crowd got louder each inning (despite being on the road) and then, in the ninth, the crowd stood and cheered the whole way through. Plus, after getting the no-hitter, we had the traditional pile on and then the team carried my player off the field. Pretty well done actually.

Has anyone noticed that the announcers actually refer to this thread during some games? It has happened twice, but unfortunatly I wasn't paying attention to what Rex Hudler said prior to it. But he said "...fans might get online and have a discussion about this. They'll call it The Little Things Thread..."

I heard the "little things" comment yesterday, thank goodness I wasn't drinking something at the time . Any bets on whether we hear them say next year (after a comeback is stopped at the end of the game) "wow, what a finish! No comeback logic here!"
