Reading throught these posts is hard and just to much off topic stuff. So far I got that the patch had to do with online. What exactly did it address?

We still don't know yet. Russell said that he would try and find out, but to not hold our breath.

I has an easier time check swinging for sure. The swings in general feel a lot better online, which is huge. It's playable, although I got three straight losses last night after the game disconnecting. Unreal

It was actually an E-Mail response to a user who asked about the problem. He had posted their response. It was...

"We apologize for any inconvenience and have been getting lots of e mail regarding this roster issue. Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) should be coming out with a patch shortly available for download on http://www.us.playstation.com very soon, as this appears to be a software issue and not a hardware issue."

someone else earlier said they thought the comebacks to pitcher fielding seems better..I totally agree after finish a series Brewers vs SF
The pitchers do field much better.

yeh like its been said, maybe its placebo, but i just finnished a game wich the pitcher made 3 great defensive plays, that is on legend...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the patch didn't address any of these things.

1. I think the check swing thing is just getting more used to it. They said the check swings were tied into individual players ability and I'm not sure how they would fix that unless they went back and did all the players. It's certainly easier to check swings with some guys rather than others, but I think maybe you're getting used to it as it IS definitely different, lol.

2. I haven't even seen this problem pre-patch. We saw at SCEA that the pitchers were FINALLY fielding balls up the middle. I've seen balls still get passed the pitchers, but also see some really good plays made.

Could be wrong (just ask my wife).

I'll agree with 99% of what you say Jim, even the check swing thing, I think I'm personally just getting more use to it.
The pitcher fielding I'll swear by is better... ( oh well couldn't agree with 100% could I ) :wink:

Just loving this game/sim!

It was the first thing I noticed in the game when I first played it.

The base coaches on some teams are generic and not working like they should.

(You should make a post in the Bugs thread, in case it was not done so already)

As for what Jim said. I agree. I think people are getting used to checking the bat. Last year was broken IMO since you can check with just about anyone, even non-checking free swingers. This year it feels like it should for each player.

Nem, and Jim take a closer look at the pitcher fielding, what is your opinion after a bit..get back to me. I swear it's more realistic.
