I also had this glitch. Full season in majors, then sept 12 2014 it crashed. Then I went to play my cubs season and when it went to the loading screen it did the same thing, sent me to the xmb.So then I tried to play an exhibition game and same thing. I had to delete all my files and start from scratch on everything.

I'm gonna put The Show aside until they get it fixed. This is gonna be hard as I'm addicted to RTTS. What a blow to what had been my favorite videogame of all time. As soon as SCEA fixes it, The Show will regain its status as greatest game ever. For now, it's merely a box collecting dust.

Exactly, however putting out $60 to have a game sitting on a shelf, wish I would have known about the problem before hand as I would have never purchased a faulty product with no fix it sight.

well russell from scea has posted a few times in this thread and another user in this thread has been in contact with him. theyre trying to recreate the situation which is the 1st step in trying to figure things out. i definately wouldnt say that theres no fix in sight.
also, scea just got back from vacation so give them some time.

I just encountered this for the first time. It happened on Sept 17, 2014 in the last game of the series vs the Cubs. The next day is a open day. I am playing as a 3B for the Brewers. I was a PH in the game prior vs Rich Harden.

I have like 1200 MLB AB so not like a first time up type of thing. I have tried to sim to date, etc to get past it without luck. I am providing the information in the hopes that is helps Russell and co.

I haven't played the show since the crash. Once we get a fix that will change.

Yes, that's a good sign. And unlike the majority (or so it seems), I'm not expecting a patch in the immediate future because I know how long it takes a patch to come out. And especially something like this, it seems like a pretty serious issue.

This sucks because one of the biggest selling points of this series is the RTTS game mode. This being my first year with the PS3 and this game series, I was pumped to get it started. But I don't want to start it only to have it die a few years in. But I'll be patient and hope for either a patch or workaround sometime down the road. Plus, it's not like all is lost. The game is still great even without this game mode.

I have to admit I'm going to do the same thing. It's sad, but I have a couple of other good working games that I'm gonna play for a whle till there is a fix. Not just RTTS but all the other bugs that get in the way in other modes as well. I love this game but when I hit september I'm shelving it.

I hate to say it but I agree. This game is one of the greatest games I've ever played but the bugs are just too much.

That's the damnedest thing about this. My first file locked up, but I created a 2nd player and I'm already in 2020 without any issues ( a lot of simming).

Did you change the way you saved? Like autosave before then manual save now? I'm just curious if the autosave feature has anything to do with it.

What other bugs? I could care less about this glitch b/c I'm not a RTTS guy, I would only play for a few years anyways even if I did it, not 5. But I am curious to see what other bugs there are? I have had the game for about two weeks, played around 15 games, haven't seen any.

There is a thread on bugs and glitches but if you're not seeing any then I wouldn't go there. Enjoy the game and stay away from the bug threads. Every year I say "ok no bug threads unless I see one." Last year was pretty good but this year I'm having a bit of bad luck. I'm sure some of the worst bugs will be fixed soon as the SCEA guys are top notch. I'll just wait it out a while.

Enjoy you're game and stay away from comeback threads and glitch threads and the like. JMO and advice.

In other words, stay away from all of the threads the last few days.

I didn't change anything at all with it, so who knows the trick. Maybe it has something to do with what roster set was used.
