    Re: Disabled list broken?

I've also had a glitch with the disabled list, although not as bad as this one. This happened to me back in 08. It seems that sometimes (I have three guys on the DL but this has only happened once) when I have to put a guy on the DL, in the very next game none of the players who played in that game have any energy. For some reason they lost over half their energy. This isn't a huge problem, but I'm one of those people who doesn't like to play a guy with at least half energy.

My thoughts exactly. How can we take this game seriously as a "sim" when there are obvious problems with roster management and stats?
      It's only a video game.

I don't think I've ever agreed more with a post than I do with this one.

Stop selling games with a bunch of new features that are virtually meaningless and add nothing in terms of actual gameplay and franchise depth, while continually missing some of the most basic issues that seem to crop up year after year.

Different departments do different things. If they didn't have the mascots, those guys would not be working on other game play things. They would be working on other gimmicks. I guess people don't understand that. What game does not have bugs? Especially sports games. You take the good with the bad!

You say the same thing every year. You can set your calendar to this. Every year, we can expect you make this post. If I was you I would save it and just copy and paste it here.

I pretty much do, Scott. One year, I'd like to think these things (ya know, basic baseball things) will be fixed. But I guess not.

Next time you go to a real baseball game. Beat the **** of a mascot. They are the reason!

Don't forget lighting. The next time I go to a Reds game and sun is shining in my face while shadows are across the plate, I might just blow a gasket. But at least the official scorer at a Reds game can figure out who gets a save.

True, but oh well. Just go eat some more seeds.

I plan on it, as well as conducting the weekly radio show with the manager while I clean the house.

You should try it is blast. I get some pretty good interviews too. It is like I already know the answers before I answer the questions. It is like I have ESP.

Scott, I'm guilty. I've done it for years.

I'm getting those coach cliches down pat. We're taking it one game at a time, one series at a time. I just want our guys to go out there and play hard.

For you it is normal you are the manger I am not. But man it is a blast. It really did set the game up beautifully. I would always get that damn tough question though. Those damn announcers.

It is what makes video games fun. You can really have a fun time and great imagination helps too. That I do have. Ever since I was a kid.

Me too. Mine started in high school with Hardball 4 and 5. I'd spend study hall writing out newspaper stories recapping the previous nights game, which included quotes from the players, managers, etc. Good times. These days, I don't quite get that involved, but I do host radio shows while I cook or clean the house.
