I can come up with an assumption for the people that are playing on HOF and levels lower. HOF is easier then Legend. IMO Legend is ridiculous to begin with. You really have to pitch EXCELLENT and mix it up and everything which is great by the way. I think the room for error playing on Legend is much greater then playing on HOF and levels under that. I don't know this for sure though, just a simple assumption. All I do know is that we are very credible people. All of us, and we are definetley seeing a difference in how the game plays with this option turned on opposed to turn off.

Nobody is wrong or right here. Again for the umpteenth time I do not want to debate. Nobody will ever prove or disprove anything. It will be an ongoing argument of right vs wrong. There is really no point to argue this especially if you are having fun with the game the way it is. Just enjoy it for what it is and how it works for you. We are not bashing the game, we are not trying to say I told you so to the people that believe otherwise. We are simply trying to make the game more enjoyable for ourselves. Whatever works is fine. Nobody will ever be right or wrong here. I just don't understand why you want to debate this. It will just go in one big circle. Hopefully this can help some people that ARE seeing it. For the people that aren't seeing it, well that's great. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the game the way it is, and so be it.
You seem to get defensive when someone doesn't jump in line with both feet to your opinion. I was trying to discredit anything you said or tell you that you're wrong. I was only, again, asking a question. This is twice that I've asked a question and you claim that I debating/arguing/or trying to prove you wrong.

Believe it or not, my reasoning in here isn't to try to discredit your opinion or what your seeing. I can honestly give a two shakes of a dog's tail if you're seeing it or not as it has no effect on me. But, I've always felt that this community, this forum especially, has always tried to help people and thats all I was trying to do. I asked the question to see if maybe its more than just the black and white picture thats being painted. On/off seems easy enough, but if its not happening to everyone, maybe there's something more to the issue than just the on/off option of a feature.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: so I played my first game with CPU comeback set to ON

I didn't read the entire thread (past 1st page) because it seems like most people already have their opinions and won't switch sides, so the back and forth is pointless.

One thing for sure is, that it's evident a lot of people are experiencing fishy things with a "super" CPU (on all difficulties). I browse around on several forums and it's definately something that pops up often. Not everyone is paranoid and crazy, and not everything can be blamed on the skillset of the player.

I'm as big of a fan boy as they get, and love the Show and love tweaking it and messing around, but I won't completely close myself off from possibilities that some things might be a little screwy. I defnately have made posts before where I feel that something is going on. The CPU doesn't always come through, but out of the 40+ games I have played, I only have like one blowout, and that was a 10-5 game where they rallied in the 9th to not only score 4 to make it respectable, but they also had bases loaded with 1 out, lol. I've also been a victim of the #8 and 9 guys, or pitchers, all of a sudden get a super eye and not chase anything, and then pound a 400 foot opposite field gapper on a low and inside changeup.

I'm just saying. I accept that it's baseball and a lot of variance, but I've played enough to at least be open enough to listen to people that are having this problem. There will be those that get defensive and deny everything, which is fine. Even the games I won by holding the CPU down and break their rallies, they do seem to sometimes be on the verge of "turning it on" randomly, and always right when they need to.

It's my pleasure man. This is why I posted this here. Not to debate but to help people out and I'm glad I did with you.

I would agree with everything you said. That's exactly how I feel. In all respect to your A's (they beat my Red Sox 5-1 in my last game LOL) I struck out Matt Holliday twice and came very close to getting him down 3 times (had him 0-2). Man I was NEVER striking good hitters like that out. I was striking guys out with Lester in the 5th inning 70 pitches deep. That would just NEVER happen.

If you go back several pages on the other thread about this, I suggested that this might be an option!

I've been wanting to try turning it ON but never remember. I remember some other things have been reversed in several other sports games, so I thought that might have happened here.

I will definitely be turning it ON next time I play!

Man I wish I was back there. Ft Myers was awesome. I couldn't believe how warm it was man. People swimming in the beach in February I am just not used to seeing LOL.

I had a nice ride back. I went through Atlanta (saw Turner Field)up through Tennessee and Viriginia instead of riding boring 95 the whole way back.

Re: so I played my first game with CPU comeback set to ON

I'm wondering about the people who don't see the "super" cpu.. say they played 30 games... how many of those are blowouts.. say like 5+ run differential and how many are within 3 runs?

Then I wonder, with the cpu comeback turned on now, how much it would differ (i.e, how many blowouts vrs 1-3 run games) I think this would tell us a lot if indeed the cpu comeback option is reversed.

I don't know personally if it was in fact reversed or not or what the hell happened with that LOL. What I do know is the game plays entirely different from the pitcher's mound when you turn comeback on. And it doesn't play harder like one would assume.

Well if you are ever down here again, look me up and we will go have some beers and talk baseball. I have friends coming down when the Sox are in Tampa.
