Heck, you should be able to have Augie Ojeda batting clean-up if that's what you want to do with CPU roster control ON. Gotta fix that one in my opinion.

Edit: Yes, you can use two controllers to put the correct lineups in, but that gets old real quick.
I agree with everything you say. Sorry about the reference to Knights roster as i didn't mean for it to sound that way. Like the song says "i want to do it my way".

      I wasn't aware.

EA is one of the most greedy, least customer-friendly game companies in the history of the universe, and NHL 09 had a patch not that long ago. If they can do it, I'm sure SCEA can pull one out since it's STILL MARCH!

Suffice it to say that there is less assumption there than you think...

BTW, I'm definitely not writing this game off. I love it. I just don't think there is a bug big enough to warrant spending time on another patch rather than working on MLB '10. That's just my opinion. I'm sure there are others that must have a patch for this or that, and if we got one, I'd certainly be happy to have it.

I also would like to know if the CPU comeback option is indeed reversed. Many here think so, I haven't played enough or with it on or off to be able to comment. I never noticed comeback AI the games I have played (with it on default off), but I admit, I have only played a dozen or so games so far this year.
RussellSCEA reiterated again last night that the option is not reversed.

And here is his DIRECT quote about it... just to clear all the confusion.

There is no cpu comeback for the umpteenth time. If you have it off its off. There isn't any hidden code that makes the cpu turn into superman.

I see plenty of throwing errors but booted balls for the user that are actually scored as errors is absolutely terrible. The fielding error slider doesn't work at all either for the user who uses manual fielding. It's bad.

That's odd. I've had just the opposite experience with errors in '09. And most reviews and many posts in the impression thread express the same thing.

all I gotta say is there better be one for the september 14th bug in RTTS or this game will be worthless to me.

^damn. Good thing I'm more of a franchise guy, but I do plan on starting my RTTS soon. Is that bug a definite bug for everybody or just some people?

No, not everyone is running into it. Not entirely sure what causes it. Some people have run into it much further down the road too, so it could be just a matter of time.

These are the worst kind, IMO...the ones that don't seem consistent and are harder to pinpoint.

What roster do I need to fix this issue? I want to get started. There won't be a patch anytime soon.

Use Knights AL only roster (40 man basic roster) (he started his minors roster which will be released later, so he didn't finish the N.L. unfortunately). He has tweaked the ratings just enough to keep most lineups correct and I hear the stats are still good.

its a bummer that RTTS is broken. most of the time i am a 360 guy, but 2k9 is junk so i made the switch.

it would be insane for sony not to patch RTTS as it was a big reason for people making the jump to this series.
