Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
So I´m really the first one to encounter this problem??? That would be very disappointing (not to be the first one), because then this bug can happen all the time when you go into your bullpen to warm somebody up or make a substitution!Comment

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
It's probably too late now, but what if you press PS button and reassign the controller to 2?Comment

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
I remember something along those lines for a fix. Anybody know how to find last years "workaround thread"? There was some stuff in there, however, with the new coding put into the game it might not work this year.Comment

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
The game AI will release the ratings for all the drafted players after the Amateur Draft is over. This allows you to know what players have the best ratings. You could simply sim the draft, know what players have the best ratings, and draft them. The game AI will randomly select the players to come out in the Amateur Draft, but it's still a glitch you could drive a truck through.Last edited by Mike3207; 05-14-2009, 05:41 PM.Comment

Mode
RttS
What happened?
My LF in RttS was called up from AAA as part of the 40-man roster on July 27, 2009. His first game is supposedly on the 28th but it won't let me progress (just sits there at schedule screen). I can hit O to stop "sim" (next appearance or to date, just sits there) and do whatever but I can't progress forward. I've tried going back to the main menu and reloading to no avail (even from quitting the game and rebooting).
Can you recreate it?
This is the first RttSer of mine that's made the show, don't know if it has something to do with the "Make the call" trophy or not. It didn't kick in until I hit "Sim to Next" after being called up.
This is also a pre-patch RttS so idk if the San Diego/Los Angeles Dodgers schedule oversight has anything to do with it. As I said, it's just sitting on the schedule screen (I can still do whatever after pressing O to stop "simming").Comment

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
The problem there is that I didn´t assign controller 2 before the game to any team. And I can´t get into the in-game main menu to change any settings. I´m stuck in my bullpen (where you see you pitchers warming up). I can get into the PS3 XMB by pressing the PS button. But that does nothing when I get back to my bullpen, same problem when I get back to the bullpen. I did switch on the 2nd controller and assigned it to controller 1 (to take controll of my team) but the problem still exists.
Seems I´m stuck and have to start over. Sucks, because like I said earlier I had a great game offensively and was up like 11-6 in the ninth against the Phillies.
Either way thanks guys for trying to help. And hopefully this does not happen on a regular basis.

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
From what I know you should start over with a new RttS. Probably delete all game related files on your HDD and reinstall game and Patch and you should be fine with any newly started RttS.

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
I can´t recall under which circumstances this bug occured, but this could be it. The AI was rallying and I wanted to get in a new pitcher as quickly as possible to prevent them from turning the game around. So while at bat (me) I went into my bullpen to warm somebody up for the last half of the 9th to shut them down up by 5 and the game tells me I have to sub out the opposing pitcher before leaving MY bullpen!!!
I actually went to mlb.com to check if this guy is on my roster or on the Phillies´. I wasn´t sure about that since it was Game 1 of the season...
Crud monkeys. As for your "must replace P John Doe" problem, yeah that was in '07 and '08 from what I remember (don't have '07, only have '08 on PS2). From what I've heard, it happens if you go into your pen "too quickly". Similar issue happens if you do the same while the comp is getting a pinch hitter where the previous screen remains on the screen.

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
What game mode did the bug happen in?
It didn't happen in a game mode, but it occured while editing rosters with CPU Roster Control menu.
How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
I understand that the Expos has #10 retired. However Ronnie Belliard of the Nationals wears #10. In the game, it has him wearing #12, but another players wears that number and made him wear another number.
I tried to use one of the tricks that a fellow poster taught me, but it doesn't work since the game already had set to #12.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
Every year.Comment

Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread
Has anyone experienced this:
I'm playing the Indians' series in Tampa Bay. Game 1 is played at Tropicana Field, then, Friday night's game is at Baseball City, Fla., not the Trop. The same goes for the following game.
I went ahead to the next series, and Oakland played Tampa in Tropicana Field. But what the heck was going on. They're not really doing this are they? After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

What game mode did the bug happen in?
Franchise Mode
How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
I complete a game, then select "exit game," and my game freezes at the load screen.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
Currently, it reproduces itself about 85% of all games I play. Meaning, 85% of all the hours I invest in this game are wiped away with a freeze.Last edited by Acedeck; 05-15-2009, 02:40 AM.Comment

The walkup music and the presentation music wont play anymore. I end up leaving the game, and yup it's frozen. If SCEA is considering a patch, this needs to be addressed, because this is major.
