Citi in the Show is a passable representation, given what little the designers had to go on....its pretty acurrate with the ballpark's features

Only thing missing is the retired numbers in left field wall. The wrong colored walls dont bother me.

Only thing that is annoying is some fan's body parts pop out out of the brick backstop.....

Now that I've researched it a bit, the new stadium looks awesome. Don't know why all the haters. The wall color looks fine and gives it a classier look. I don't know, but I *hated* Shea and thought it was a total dump. Finally the Mets play in a real stadium now.

The only teams that really need new stadiums now are Oakland, TB, Minnesota, Marlins, and the Cubs and Red Sox (yea yea I'm going to get some heat for the last two).

I have a question, really. When someone has an opposite view, what's with the "haters" thing? I really don't get that at all. Is that to stifle the "haters", lol? Make them feel bad, lol?

Yeah I think she is hot. I don't know why, but I do! Any ways they said they would fix it for The Show 10.

Without being biased and a simple fan of the game, can you honestly say it's better looking than Fenway? The only thing nice is the scoreboard and the Pepsi-Cola sign (but that's b/c I hate Coke )...otherwise I don't see much charm out of the stadium.

that's not what i was saying. the guy earlier said that citi was putrid and referenced the black color of the walls. i say if anything is putrid, it's the stupid green of fenway.

fenway certainly has it's charm, but since you're asking, yeah, citi is leagues better than fenway or any other stadium i've been to. have you ever actually been to fenway? it may possess the smallest seats i've ever seen in my life. feels like you're sitting in a clown car while watching a game

I said it was putrid and, hate to burst your bubble, they are - granted I'm a Braves fan but that's just a statement without any partiality. Agreed, it may be better than the parking lot that is Shea Stadium but as Jim said, with all of the money spent in building this, they found an uncreative architect.

Is Citibank still funding that ballpark following the bailout? I don't care if New York wants to bill its taxpayers for a ballpark but why the rest of us?

I think Citi's deal with the Mets is $20M/yr for 20 years or something like that. Could be a little bit off on the exact numbers, though.

I know I am an old timer, but back when I went to games you had a chance to talk to people between innings. You could at least hear yourself talk then. Now they really discourage that. We'd talk about what happened in the previous inning, what was going on in other games that day based on out of town scoreboard, etc. No more.

The NBA is even worse...I hate it.

Yes, it's out of hand now. I usually listen to the game with my earbuds now, but it still is so freaking loud. Part of the problem is the distortion with some of these parks sound systems when it gets loud. I guess I'm getting to be an old timer, but I still like my rock music loud (just not distorted loud like at the baseball parks now).

Next year for Minnesota. I was hoping for a retractable roof (like the Bob in AZ (or WTF they call it now (maybe these banks should stop spending money on naming rights, but that's another rant ), but it is going to be a traditional ballpark. It's pretty cold in Minneapolis still in April sometimes especially at night, and then late September/October can have some cool nights

But, anything will beat watching games in that horrible horrible Metrodome. FYI Mn Gophers FB will have a new stadium on campus by this fall and not play in the Humphrey Dome anymore.
