Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
No. Ridins are not ok. The 4/20 set is OK, so probably from that point on is OK (which is no one's rosters, lol).
I did some edits on the 4/20 rosters for the Cubs, and the historical stats are fine for that roster. I checked every big player.
So here is what I have found:
Historical stats are fine starting with the 4/20 roster and any rosters based off of that one (none right?) and todays of course.
All of Knights and all of Ridins have the historical stat glitch.
FYI, I started all new franchises, loaded new ones from the vault and also tried my old ones on the HDD.
I guess we will have to wait to hear for sure!Comment

You set the lineups for the CPU team by using a second controller start the game as if its going to be player 2, and then when the game starts, you go into controller select and move it back to CPU (the middle). That is how I have had to play my franchise so far.
The good thing is now the lineups are correct at the front screen, so if you use the second conroller method, you don't have to put them in every time (like I had to before the patch).
So, if there is indeed a way to get lineups to stick for simmed games, I am set.Comment

If that is the case then all hope is not lost....If Ridin (Speculating here from his post last night) decided to make a new roster....we would be able to edit and tweak it for the remainder of the year and not notice a historical stat glitch.
I guess we will have to wait to hear for sure!
The 4/20 and 4/27 (todays) rosters don't have hist. stat glitches. All the other rosters I have tested do (and I tested in various ways, using SC, not using SC,etc.)
Yea, we should wait, but if it is indeed true, and someone is willing to move their work, then we will be set.
In the meantime, I have a 4/20 roster with only the Cubs edited and it is looking great. No hist stat glitch at all. I may have to roll with that one now and wait and see what happens.Comment

In the game, they had them with the 2 color shaded helmets (red and blue). Apparently they were going to use those, but ditched them during spring training and stuck with their originals. It should be solid blue for their normal home white jerseys, and solid red when they wear their alternate home red jerseys. On the road they wear the solid blue.

Basically, you'd need to sim to the off-season and try to move staff around and see if anything goofs to test it (probably a few times too) if you're going to.Comment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
I mostly play online, and I just hope they fix the bug that affects online play.
When you steal in online play, about 99% of the time, your batter can't swing. Even if it shows the animation, it doesn't actually do anything. Then during the replay, the batter will be shown with his bat on his shoulders the whole time. It makes hit&runs impossible. Stealing a base means letting a pitch go by.
It also means you can't send the runners on a full count with 2 outs, as you are then at the mercy of the pitch.
Although, it is nice when I would swing at a ball in the dirt and the swing doesn't register.
Oh, and this even happens on power swings, so it isn't like it was some confusion with a check swing (which is virtually impossible online anyway).
Well, I can confirm that this has not been fixed.
That's ok. I didn't really need to hit & run anyway.Comment
