Really? The only thing I deleted was the GAME Data folder, and I had to readd my music to the custom playlist or whatever and I had to readd all of my marks. Maybe I'm just a noob.

Yes, brand new franchise. I downloaded the patch. Downloaded the 4/27 roster set. Moved Marcus Thames up to the parent club as well as Guerero and sent down Rayburn and some other guy. Autocorrected the AAA rosters and then changed the parent club lineups for Tigers and Angels.

      Loaded my sliders.

Started a brand new 2 team franchise, Tigers & Brewers.

Simmed Spring Training. Did some facility upgrades.

Played game one - Tigers vs. Blue Jays lost 4-3. Thought it was odd that there were no post game replays, but wanted to get my revenge so I played game 2.

Game 2. Won 10-2 and hit 3 HR's. Again no post game replays, really was looking forward to seeing the hit parade at the end of the game. So I went into replay vault and it showed the Overbay up to the plate with no fielders on the field. He was the last out of the game and it showed him striking out - Kind of. The graphics in the replay vault seriously looked like PS1 graphics. No logos or shine to the helmet.

      Very disappointing.

I am thinking I am going back to 1.0 or hopefully 1.01 if someone can upload it (or if SCEA can re-release it to us). I have done the workaround for the line-up post patch after spring training. And the rosters do "stick" sometimes, but when you go into the box scores of previous games you will see that "Choo" still did lead off over Sizemore even though in the roster lineup he batted 6th as I had him. Also...all of the rotations are out of whack...we never had this problem of having to reset the rotations. HERE IS WHAT I SUGGEST TO SCEA...GIVE US THE OPTION TO TURN OFF THE LINEUP LOGIC OR HAVE IT DEFAULT ONLY TO CPU LINEUP CONTROL "OFF". It was a nice attempt, but it should be an OPTION only. BTW--did anyone ever complain about this game not having lineup logic in last years game???

OK, then I stand corrected, don't delete that information if that is the case and you want to keep your music. Sorry about that if that is the case.

It has nothing to do with R2. This is what is happening in my RTTS:

I played a game Sunday night and it was the first game of a series against Seattle (I'm on the Padres). After the game, I saved and quit.

Monday I fire up the game and install the patch and I go into my RTTS and "Sim to next Appearance". I played a game and went back to the schedule screen. It was then that I noticed that the game I had played Sunday night, didn't have a score on the schedule. I try to scroll over using the left stick or the dpad and when my cursor went over the game, the system crashed.

I tried this at least 6 times with the same results everytime. I also tried using older save files (I have about 20 of them) and all the ones I tried were corrupted.

It has nothing to do with R2 and to answer a previous poster, yes I was able to play a game prior to the crash. I uninstalled the patch, reinstalled the game and it works fine now - just without patch 1.01 which as far as most people can tell, didn't do a whole lot anyway.
Blatantly? OK! Well, I don't play RTTS, and many others here don't either. For the ones that don't, when we press R2 to look at the schedules, it would crash to the XMB.

I think sometimes the lineups get reset even with my workaround when guys get fatigued, get benched and then the CPU makes its own "game time decisions". Unfortunately, then you have to put the lineups back the way they were. It is not ideal, but that is why it is a workaround. It is better than no lineup control for me, but certainly not what I wanted out of this game this year.

Last night I simmed through the end of July and at least Helton stayed batting 3rd in ALL the box scores for Colorado in sim games. But, that could vary depending on fatigue, I suspect. You will just have to check after every day simmed, is the only way to combat this.

Anyone else not getting replays? I just skipped past them last night. Man, that would not be good.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Given that they are on the West Coast, i dont expect anything yet, but im hoping that Russell (or another SCEA guy) comes on today and gives us some good news. Either a very simple work around to all this, or a new patch.

The only thing about a patch for the patch is it takes time to code it, then to QA it, then to send it off to Sony for certification. This isnt something that will be out today or tomorrow. My guess (and it is just a guess) is that IF they try to fix this, we're looking at 2 weeks minimum.

Not trying to be a buzzkill, just realistic.

Countryboy, remember when I started clean yesterday by deleting my Game data utility info because we were grasping at straws concerning the patch functioning?

Well, I really haven't noticed anything wrong with my game other than 2 resets when I was looking at rosters, and then it never happened again after rebooting.

Concerning the replays. After I played a game last night, I was just skipping after the game, and it did start to play a replay for me, but I did not watch any of it except the short time it took me to skip past it, so it was showing something. At least something was there. I hope this isn't really a problem for all of us (sorry you have the problem Fistofrage). I will have to check it out tonight when I get home.

Thats best case scenario UNLESS the wrong patch got sent. I wouldn't be suprised if this is it and they are now focusing on 2010. If they do patch it, I would imagine it will be Late May/Early June. There are obviously quite a few problems that can't easily be fixed without frogging something else up.

Yeah the crappy part is that happenned in the first couple of games (fatigue wouldn't be an issue). I am now going to use Knight's version 2 as his adjustments solve the issue w/o any babysitting on the lineups. I am going back to the previous version too, 1.00 to resolve any highlight issues, crashes, etc. I don't care about the stat glitch b/c I only play one season in my franchise.

I would think they HAVE to attempt to fix it, the franchise crashing etc. They may not address other issues (the replays, flashbacks, roster issues, DL glitch etc), but the problems people are having with old franchises has to be addressed in some way.

I agree though, where they are in the cycle is 2010 time.
