Not sure if this was brought up already. Sorry if it has been.

So I just got the patch downloaded. I tried to load the franchise I was playing and everytime I do it re starts the game. Did the patch reset everything on the game?

OUCH!!! Hope you weren't far man, shouldn't have downloaded the patch especially for existing franchises.

This seems to be a personal decision.Some say everything is fine but others are getting no replays at the end of games and no replay vault later in the game both with pre-patch and post-patch franchises. I would personally wait if you want the patch to see what Russell will say on the issue.I guess you will have to way the pros and cons and decide what you like.

No worries - this thread is so convoluted that you would never be able to find anything in it anyway.

You have the dreaded franchise freeze. Check out this thread

Basically, your best option is probably to delete the patch, if you want to continue your franchise. There is a thread on the first page about deleting the patch if you want to check that out. SCEA is looking into the problem, but it will be a while I'm sure to get a fix, if they can fix it.

Your other option is to start a new franchise but there have been people that have the patch that are having issues with the replay show.

I just deleted everything MLB 09 related on my PS3, reinstalled, now everything is works fine.

Yep, either delete the patch and use your existing franchise or start over with a new franchise with the patch applied. Remember, you will not be able to get back patch 1.01 which dealed with some online issues I believe. . .

As far as I know, the crash is only happening for franchises and RTTS's which were started before the patch.

I believe that people have been having replay problems with franchises both pre and post patch though.

Yeah we thought it was fixed until people played the games it slipped through QA we weren't trying to deceive anyone.

So is there any chance of another patch or is this pretty much it? I think that's what most of us are wondering at this point. Either way, everyone needs to move on and just enjoy the game. Maybe a definite yes or no answer regarding another patch will give most of us some closure, LOL, for what it's worth. I don't know what to make of all these patch posts over the past few days but confusion has been running rampant, as well as tempers. I'm just thinking that a definitive answer on another patch will calm things down a bit. Thanks for posting on here and at least taking interest in the thoughts and concerns of the consumers.

Its just annoying more than anything. The game plays great on the field, but the it gets sketchy in other areas.

I beg to disagree on this point. I would not say this game plays great on the field if pressing the R2 to dive for a ball results in an errant throw to home plate almost every time instead of to the base I press after coming up with the ball.

Thanks Russell for the continued update. As im sure everyone else is, im hoping for some quick news and good news! I do know that IF you (SCEA) do another patch that you have to develop, test, QA it and send it to certification, so it wont be tomorrow or anything.

Any idea what issues you are looking into?

- DL glitch
- historical stat glitch
- franchise/RTTS crash
- no replay
- no flashback
- roster control
- line ups not sticking (can you get it to where with roster control OFF it will still read the rosters/lineups/rotations from the main menu)

Just use the Right stick to dive for the ball instead of R2 then.
