    Agreed.

Confidence is important and this game does a good job of representing that.

It's nice to see good pitchers struggle sometimes and lesser pitchers have a few good days.

Even the individual pitch confidence is growing on me. It used to frustrate me when I used a guy with 4/5 pitches but only 2/3 were working. So, I'd try to get the confidence up by using the weaker pitches, only to get shelled. decided to stop "peeing directly in the wind" and sticking with the pitches that worked and I miraculously quelled a lot of comebacks.

What the OP experienced is so true to life.

MLB Network analysts and the guys at Baseball Tonight both had segments this week about how most baseball games are decided by the middle relievers in the 6th and 7th innings.

They were talking about not knowing what your going to get from night to night.

I like the confidence. It really makes look at my bullpen from a different direction rather than just looking at ERA etc. in a close game. If my relievers confidence bar is low, I will wait for a situation where I have a good lead or I'm getting blowout then bring him in to get his confidence back up...

Can you see their confidence or their pitch meter before you bring in the game? That would be a cool feature (if it isnt in, if it is, please point me to it)

I don't believe you can see it for each pitch, but when you go to your bull pen, it is the second bar when you scroll through pitchers. I believe it is the blue bar.

Is the bar above the individual pitches mean the confidence they have in that pitch?

No, he is talking about seeing the confidence BEFORE the pitcher enters the game. I think you can only see overall confidence and not that of each pitch until after the pitcher enters the game.

Yes. I'm talking about once the pitcher enters the game. Oath bar over the pitches his confidence for that pitch?

Yes. The little blue line above each pitch is how much confidence he has in each one.

Wow! I had no idea that the guy's question would be this difficult to understand. He knew that you can see the confidence of each pitch WHILE you are pitching. What he was asking is if this information is available prior to putting the pitcher in. I believe he wanted to know so that he can better decide which reliever to sub in against certain players. As far as I know, you can only see the overall confidence rating of a pitcher prior to putting him in. If this is incorrect, please let us all know this.
