Adam Everett is as bad with the bat as he is good with the glove, so ive sent him to Cleveland in a straight swap for Jhonny Peralta, who has far more pop, Everett giving them the defensive upgrade they wanted. Sure ill lose something on the defensive end at SS but Peraltas offense should more than make up for it.

Would it happen irl? I doubt it, but to me its not too lopsided so i went ahead with it.

arrggghhhh....I'm wanting another LH reliever for the bullpen, but am having trouble getting any of the "sellers" to pony up good relievers for top prospect players.

I traded for John Bale on the Royals, a LHRP. He has been very solid so far for me. 3-1 60 IP 2.55 ERA 37 k's 20 BB WHIP 1.25

Well prior to my franchise becoming corrupted somehow I had just made a deal for Ian Kinsler and Salty. I traded them Orlando Hudson, a "B" level prospect and Brad Ausmus for Kinsler and Salty. Texas was so far out of things that they were basically holding a firesale so I obliged as Hudson was barely hitting over the mendoza line through nearly 60 games.

First game with Kinsler and my power flickers while saving and there goes that franchise, right down the toilet. 57 games in and now I get to either start over or get rid of the game, awesome decision to have to make.

In my Arizona Diamondbacks' franchise I traded Hank Blalock (whom I acquired for Chad Tracy) and an OF prospect to the Mariners for Morrow, Branyan (sp?), and a 2B prospect.

Then I traded Conor Jackson, Eric Byrnes, and Chad Qualls to the Rays for Evan Longoria and Wade Davis.

I acquired Howell/Zobrist earlier in the season for Tom Gordon/2 pitching prospects.

I also got Pie in a deal with Orioles and signed Jim Edmonds.

Romero, Pena and DeRosa have all been a key part to my penant run. I just closed out the Cubs in game 5 of the NLCS with a 2 for 4, 4 RBI performance from DeRosa and a key throw out from LF to home by Hairston. What a blast when your trades work out.

Just past allstar break on my Giants franchise and have traded

Travis Ish(Japanese name) and 2 prospects for Konerko - lost out on the Defensive end but lineup needed some power. (fairly dodgy trade, but had to be done)

I havent traded anyone in my Franchise. Im more than a month past the trade deadline and have been doing well. Im at Aug. 25th and only 3.5 gms behind the Sox for the AL East lead and 9.5 Games ahead of the Rays for the Wild Card lead. I didnt want to shake things up since i was doing good. But, im trying to think about my areas of improvement for the off season.

Damon is having a great year for me so I might just sign him for another yr or 2. I just lost Andy Pettite for 1 to 2 months with a fractured arm so im looking to maybe get another starter in the offseason. Im also looking to get some more power in CF. Im thinking about trying to get Halladay from the Jays. I might trade Wang and Cabrera and maybe a prospect for Halladay. If I can't get Halladay, here are some of my other options for pitchers:

Tim Lincecum (SF)
Ubaldo Jimenez (COL)
Brandon Webb (Arizona)

I havent decided on what OF to go after so that is still up in the air.

But, for my 2009 season, im going to keep things the way they are.

Realism!!! I know J.P. is a fool, but he's not stupid enough to take Wang, no one is. Plus we don't need Cabrera either, we have two stellar defensive outfielders, who provide occasional pop. You'd have to give away a lot more than that sir.

As a Rockies fan I hate it. I've been able to keep the core sqquad together in year one aside from making some trade to bolster my rotation and I'm in the NLCS right now. I'm too big an Ian Stewart fan to trade him away.
