    re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

I'm playing with the Royals and frankly needed some more pitching so......

    Royals Get:
    Tim Hudson
    2B prospect

    Braves Get:
    C prospect
SP prospect (one of the best ones I have in my farm system, though, not Hochevar)

I look at it this way: In my franchise Atl is 27 games back from 1st place (Philadelphia is tearing it up at something like 63-28), Hudson is in the final year of his contract so the Braves would be looking to deal anyway. The braves wanted a catcher so they got a good prospect as well as a solid SP prospect who could be in the MLB right now.

On my end I'm 4 games under .500, but only 3.0 games back in the AL Central. Getting Hudson will boost the starting rotation that has been okay the whole year. If Hudson does great then I might try and re-sign him and if not, well I tried at least.

    Thoughts???

I just started a Nationals franchise and immediately traded Lastings Milledge to the Yankees for Phil Hughes. The Yankees OF is getting old, and Milledge can play any of the 3 positions. Hes 23 and has an A potential rating. Hughes just always sits in the minors so I figured he'd fit right into my rotation, hopefully giving me at least one solid performance every 5 days out of my rotation.

Playing with the Jays. This is the only trade I've made, about 40 games in so far.

This isn't a fair trade at all but both guys for the Marlins were on the trade block and they accepted so I wasn't too concerned.

Jays Get: Chris Volstad and Matt Dominguez (B prospect, 19 year old 3B)

Marlins Get: John MacDonald and Scott Downs.

Downs has been pitching terrible for me and this trade allowed me to call up 2 guys that I like (Joe Inglett and Jermey Accardo).

Maybe Matt can step in and replace Rolen in a few years.

Add Volstad to the pitching staff and it looks pretty good for the Jays with Halladay, McGowan (A overall), Volstad (A prospect), Litsh (A prospect) and Romero (A prospect) along with about 5 B overall/prospect guys (Wolfe, Cecil, Marcum, Ray, Jansenn, etc)

I'm seriously considering trading Adam Wainwright away to either the Indians for Cliff Lee or to the Yanks(prospects would be involved as well) for Robinson Cano. This would allow me to move Schumaker back to right field and have a guy that can bat 2nd in the lineup to get on ahead of Pujols.

I can't get Wainwright on track. After the month of April in my 2nd season, he has an ERA of over 10.00 and in 4 starts hasn't gotten past 5 innings. In fact he's only went to the 5th, once in those 4 starts. Last year, he ended the year with 4.76 ERA after struggling most of the year, but I'm not waiting for him to turn it around this year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Athletics get bartolo colon and some AA shmuck.

Colon has been crap and he fills the whole screen so I can't even see where I'm throwing the ball...
LMAO on the whole screen thing. I feel the same about Landon Powell when he comes up to bat. In real life, I could see the A's doing this deal in a heartbeat, but I can't see the white sox doing it with Chavez's injury history. But in the game, this looks like a solid deal for both teams. The A's (my team), have Nomar and Crosby that can play third, but their pitching is hurting big time.

I needed an infielder and the A's were looking for RP/C so I went for it. I knew about Chavez's injury history but with all the injuries my team has had, I figured I'd luck out with him, for no good reason. He's stepped up nicely with Josh fields having an error or crappy play at 3rd every other game. Plus with Dye and Gets out for months, its helps...

so i'm looking for some input on a trade and figured this would be the thread for it:

I'm in June in my dbacks franchise and 12 games behind LA and on a 6 game skid so I figure it's time to look to rebuild...Webb is currently 1-6 with an era close to 6 and I just cant pitch with him so I'm looking to trade him for some prospects. I worked a trade with STL for Rasmus and 2 B potential pitchers, but want to see if you guys have any other suggestions.

I have plenty of holes to fill so am open to anyone as long as at least 1 player is of A potential.

i see that you wanna trade webb for rasmus and some pretty good prospects. i had another idea its just wat i would do. webb is one of the best pitchers regardly of his stats right now trust me i feel like punching a wall every time i face him. so i was thinking go after a young, but more proven player of any position. cause the cpu will still value him as a cy young cantidate so i would try and get the most i can so maybe you could get a better OF than rasmus who still isnt old plus maybe 1 good prospect i just think if your gonna trade an ace make sure your getting back a guy you KNOW will make a big impact on your stats record and team. also i was thinking if you can get rasmus why not go after a high caliber pitcher for example roy hallady or go after a higher tier position player like... bj upton, matt kemp, or even jay bruce. just my opinion though i dont know wat your preferences are. hope that helps.

                        Playing as the Detroit Tigers...

Adam Everett and Carlos Guillen to the Florida Marlins for Hanley Ramirez.

Everett is doing nothing at the plate (typical), and Guillen is on FIRE for me hitting .340 with 9 HR's through May 21st. I figured I would take advantage of him being hot, and the Marlins wanting a Left Fielder. It worked, no problem!

                        Whatty'all think?!

it sounds unrealistic but if you dont care about realism not every1 does and im not to strict on it with myself either so ya great trade you got one of the top 3 basbeall players without giving up miggy or any1 who is a bigger part of your team congrats my game hates me its like i got a smart AI or something lol

I prefer realism. And I am well aware this one would never happen. It just worked out that I wanted to replace Everett at SS, and the Marlins seemed to be really high on Guillen, so I said lets try it. They accepted it. I havent decided if I am going to go with it though...for the realism factor.

So I saved my Franchise pre-trade, and post-trade and I'll sleep on it!

Trades I've made with the Rangers so far:

                              Reds get:
                              Nelson Cruz
                              Ben Sheets (signed and traded)
                              Omar Visquel

                              Rangers get:
                              Jay Bruce
                              Edison Volquez
                              Homer Bailey

                              --------------

                              Tigers get:
                              Frankie Francisco
                              Joaquin Benoit

                              Rangers get:
                              Joel Zumaya
                              Fernando Rodney

                              -------------

                              Cardinals get:
                              CJ Wilson

                              Rangers get:
                              Chris Perez

                              ------------

                              Rays get:
                              David Murphy
                              Edison Volquez
                              Derrick Turnbow

                              Rangers get:
                              David Price
                              JP Howell
                              Pat Burrell

                              ---------------
                              White Sox get:
                              Joaquin Arias

                              Rangers get:
                              Gordon Beckham
                              Clevelan Santeliz

There have been a few others but these are the most important trades that I've made. The White Sox one amazed me because they had Beckham on the trading block and the rumor mill said the Rangers were interested! Not sure how he fits into the team mix but he should be a valuable middle infield backup this year and great trade bait after that. It doesn't hurt that he's hit over 420 in both AA and AAA this year before being traded.

I changed my entire KC franchise direction with this trade:

                                Dodgers get:

                                Royals get:
