      New player models in 2010?

It's early but I would love to see it in next years game.

Golly Gee Willa-curs.... I hope we can get a change in Home-Run visuals for the 2010 game...

I would love to watch the ball all the way as it leaves any of a number of "CLASSIC" stadiums that I hope are offered in next years game ( in Franchise & Season modes)...

Last night I had a weird dream, I dreamed I was a muffler and when I woke up I was exhausted...

Can't you just turn off the Homerun celebrations? I thought with that off you could watch the ball off the bat and over the fence? I haven't tried it, but that's my understanding. Anyone?

Merging again regarding new player models. This thread has become a sort of late, very late, wishlist for improving the game.

Again, game is in full production, but post and SCEA has their gameplan in progress.

Hopefully improving the player models is taken into consideration.

In a way. If you didn't clear the fence by a long shot you will be able to watch it end up in the stands, but Scooter3 has plenty often referred to how World Series Baseball 2K3 (and ESPN Major League Baseball) had a home run cut scene that would appear from a camera angle in the upper deck down the foul line opposite of where the home run went and zooms in on it as it falls down, giving you a look of the stadium's grand size and being able to watch it land in the stands wherever it goes.

                Here is a video example.

Essentially, he wants to see the ball in full flight. I would like to see that as well, but I would very much like to see the broadcast camera as shown in replays be playable, just like on TV. That way we will get to see our home runs with no problem, and it's not a cut scene so the "suspense" is still there.

Was that the cut scene, or actual in game home run? If it was in game, that wasn't suspenseful at all. Where is the fielder, if it was? I have to assume that's a cut scene, post homerun???

If I recall, I loved that game, quirks and all. It played a pretty solid game of ball, if I remember the year correctly.

                    replay suggestion for 2010

wouldn't it be awesome if we could save the replays that are shown as highlights at the end of the game? (yeah you know the one's w/ the use of multi cams, and where it actually looks like a real highlight!) I hate saving the replays from the replay screen where you have to control the "highlights" by moving the camera around yourself (which is ********)

In World Series Baseball 2K3? Yeah, that was the cut scene in real time, it wasn't a replay of any sort. There isn't any suspense in a cut scene home run, I was only saying that on my behalf (as it is also what a lot of people like to see in a home run... that small chance of not knowing what it might be). But Scooter really likes this view and wants to see the stadium and the home run blast in full glory is all.

I would just prefer the broadcast view, all of the time. Whether it's a ground out, base hit, foul ball down the line, home run over the fence, or a shot in the third deck... just like real baseball. Having that as a playable cam really would be cool IMO, and would retain that suspense because you never change the camera.

It's measure pitcher tendencies as far as pitch selection and how many times a specific pitch is thrown, or how successful a batter is against a specific pitch, or how often they hit the ball to a specific part of the field, etc. Something like this added to the game would be great.

Thats exactly the problem with EA ,gimmicks before great gameplay.

A Few Ideas for the Dev Team

After playing this game since release, I have come to a conclusion that the ideas I have if considered would enhance the realism enough to warrant consideration.

                          1. Setting a players salary - giving us the option to do this would place the ability for us to set real salaries and contracts of players which would curtail the un-realistic player movement after a season.

                          2. Setting a value on a player - if we were given the option to set this value then we wouldn't be seeing such a high rate of disappearing prospects upon player retirement screen. I just had Madison Bumgarner retire due to player ability after my second complete season.

                          3. In season edits - I have noticed an abundance of ficticious players in the Majors after a couple seasons and giving us the option to edit and save in the season or franchise mode would be great. This also leads to my next edit!

                          4. In mode total roster control - giving us this option allows us to keep our rosters as acurate as we would like them. Nothing is more frustrating than knowing in the back of your head that Cliff Lee is a Phillie and still on the Indians roster ie.

Just some ideas as I think that they would add to the realism of the game. Also, I am very high on prospects as they are the future of the game, so preserving them is paramount for me at least. Any thoughts?

3 & 4 are in the game. You can go to any team and edit the fictitious players on that team to make them real minor leaguers. Just go to the manage roster screen, then hit R1 or L1 to switch to the team you want, select the player and select edit player and then you can change any of the fictitious names and attributes to real minor leaguers or whoever.

#4 You can do you just have to select roster control on at the beginning of your season/franchise. The down side is it turns off injuries.
