Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
as it comes to weather heck Tiger woods 10 had live weather option so i think if they can have it in there we can have the option in our baseball game.
as for what i would like to see as the "Top 5" new features they would be....
1. the return of home run derby
2. more enhanced deeper player stats or stat break downs between hitters and pitchers and teams vs team stats
3. future parks (aka asb 05)
4. expansion teams
5. anything they can put in that makes it feel like im actually watching a live baseball game on tv. which includes more in depth over lays or more camera angles on replays. oh so many things. i seriously hope that every member of the dev team is currently watvching both the al and nl post season coverage and have been watching as much baseball as they can and taking wild notes on everyhing they see or hear during a broadcast to be able to put it all in some day ..."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
I could see single A teams being added along with some potential minor league stadiums and classics like mentioned. There will definitely be some more RTTS stuff and mini games for defense and pitching. I could see the option to control your baserunners RTTS style in regular games when you want to steal a base or something as well.
Aren't new player models supposed to be in the works for 10?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
As I said awhile back, if SCEA implements expansion teams, no-trade clauses (was in ASB to some extent), full minors, real life manager tendencies, and create-a-stadium divorce courts would be flooded beyond belief.
Joking aside, I have been dying to experience a more thorough expansion mode in next gen. I know many people had a blast with ASB as did I.
An owner mode would also be ideal (MVP). It was a challenging mode because you had to strategize on a daily basis. I remember finishing a season with $2.2 million in the red. With cheap FA pickups, solid minor league developement (my focus year 1), and a few upgrades to my stadium, I was able to finish season two $1.9 million in the green. Those were some good times.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
Like Dave said, hopefully the focus will be on both defense and hitting. With all of the gripes this past year regarding hitting, I'm hoping and half-way expecting a new system, hopefully similar to the oldie-goldie MVP '05.
I'd like to see more doubles down the line, more balls actually getting over outfielders heads or pop-ups between the INF-OFs...this is mainly what I see being shown.
...as well as Albert Pujols on the cover.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
I don't have any issues with creating options for use of the right stick but, like you, I prefer the buttons....I also like the hitting mechanic as well. Basic and it works....What?Comment

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)
I don't look at it like "Yankees, is this ok", I look at it like "user is this ok". I would like this option too because if the ai trades puljos for some Joe smoe, this isn't realistic and I would like the ability to overide.
For me it is just about having a say where the superstars go. If guys are going all over the place, I would rather just have a fantasy draft.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
I would like to see "Dual RTTS Career" mode, in which you play two careers simultaneously (i.e., same time-line). Imagine the scenarios this could create between your two alteregos (hitter/pitcher) --- hmmm....
Feature: When each of you egos play each other, YOU get to pick (optional, at any time) which one you will play as. "OMG! -- I hitting against my... my... my [brother/roommate from the minors/...]!".Comment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
As long as i can move teams, choose custom or historic logos, and have Polo Grounds IV, i'm happy .
Go San Francisco/New York Giants*! (my favorite team in the NL West/East*)

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
Beyond that a true expansion mode would be great like the old ASB games. But even just being able to create a new team and replacing an od one would be ok too, not as good but still fun to do. I am wondering if MLB doesn't want this in their games since neither baseball game has created teams and most sports game have at least a limited feature of created teams.Comment
