    My idea from there:

    http://www.operationsports.com/forum...mode-idea.html

What if, every time there's a roster update, there would be a current season's save slate available. If we take madden for example, you download the rosters and the season or franchise current slate and you begin right in the wildcard round, with all current stats. For the show, for the people playing with the Tigers by example, you could download a season/franchise slate from any week in august and try to prevent the Twins to catch you, and all of that, starting with the stats/standings from the moment. Every week at the same time of the roster update there would be a new file available with up-to-date stats so for people that are bored with there franchise/season instead of having to start all over again you could pickup the season wherever it is at the moment and go from there or chose any previous week.

It would probably be a nightmare to create those I don't know but in my head it looks really sweet !!

      Any new presentation?

Have we've been told if there will be any new presentation? Something like NCAA College Basketball 10 but with MLB Network.

I am dreaming of the day we see something like this in MLB The Show

Sadly I think the presentation in MLB 10 the Show is going to be just like 09.

At least that's what it looks like if you go by the CES footage. But that is not the final build so there is a little hope I guess.

Having said that I would love to know if Sony is planning to make the MLB The Show presentation just like a real TV Broadcast in the future?

Yep, just read some of the threads and there's no way you can say it's sadly going to be just like 09.

I am not talking about camera views without cut scenes.

What I am talking about a true to life TV broadcast presentation like ESPN,FOX,TBS or MLB Network with all the cool overlays and info.

Realtime is something else. Which I am also VERY happy to see being added this year

That's what I mean by TV broadcast presentation.

                  Re: Any new presentation?

Looks like it's the same "The Show" broadcast to me, but they changed some of the graphical overlays like replay transitions (where it shows the team logos in a 3D style depth). I'm sure the overall HUD has been tweaked some as well, as every games seems to do that year in and year out.

Strange that EA has all of that CBS stuff when they have this huge contract with ESPN and never seem to use them like that, unlike 2K who went as far as having ESPN in the name of their game.

                    Re: Any new presentation?

Real time presentation is new, commentary is a wait and see at this point. On the features list it was stated that the Progressive commentary has been improved, I just wish it resemble the nba 2k 10 stat overlay commentary from things around the league, its great in franchise.

I'm hoping for more defensive recall replays at the present all they show are offensive things, it would be cool to recall a great double play from the 3rd inning to stop a rally ect... or a great HR robbing catch. The commentary needs to be to talk about previous series and how some things are similar and some things that changed. I believe this would be great for immersion, almost insuring people will at least play one game in a series.

                      Re: Any new presentation?

I will make this really simply for you guys to understand my thinking of things!

When I load up MLB The Show I want it to be as if I just turned on ESPN,FOX Baseball,TBS. The only difference is I get to control the gameplay

I hope this is the direction Sony plans to go with MLB The Show in the near future.

MLB The Show is wonderful and is the best baseball video game ever! But I think its time to up the ante and turn it into a full blown TV Broadcast presentation style!

NFL 2K5 did it first and now EA Sports NCAA 10 Basketball is doing it. I think this is the future of video game sports! Or it should be anyway.

If done right it would BLOW peoples minds!!!!!

Having said that I want to truly give a standing ovation to everyone working on MLB The Show. They have really given so much joy to all us die hard baseball nerds!!

I have been playing baseball video games since I started playing video games. Way back to the commodore 64. And ever since then even up to now I have always dreamed of the day that a baseball video game would be just like what you see on TV. I am talking those cool overlays, News report updates, in game Score Tickers, Highlights from around the league, Baseball Trivia, and real time commentary that is always new and up to date! And some of my ideas for real time commentary would be like for example having the commentary guys know what day you are playing. So like if you start a game on a Tuesday the commentary would say something like "what a great Tuesday afternoon it is for a ball game." Or they could say "Happy July 4th everyone" when playing on July 4th. It would make the commentary seem alive

I hope someday the dream will come true.

In another life if I was the head of a video game company that made baseball video games this would be the direction I would go lead my team to go.

Sony's new RTP combined with NFL 2K5 TV Broadcast presentation style and NBA 2K10 commentary would be a baseball nerds wet dream!!!

How does not having CBS, FOX, etc, not make it like a real tv presentation? The only thing you're missing are those respective logos. The dev team has instituted just about every camera angle and replay you would ever see on one of those broadcasts, as well as an excellent announcing crew. They have their own stat overlays, music, graphics, and so on. It IS a real life broadcast, just by a different station

Here is a picture of what the RTP will do.

You can see the next batter walking up to the plate and the last batter heading back to the dug out. Its really going to be cool!

My only wish is that I could always have this Camera view even when batting!

I like doing CPU VS CPU and it would be great if I could watch the whole game from this Camera view!

Can we Sony? Please say yes

This Camera view will make you feel you are sitting in the upper deck behind home plate.

What a beautiful view this is. You can see the whole field in all its glory!
