My top two are allowing the 09 franchise to transport to the 10 version and in MOM mode ending the computer calling plays for user controlled teams during the game.

Re: Is there a LIST of Features/Improvements that the developers have for next year?
1) Collision Detection amongst all things..
2) Player Models completely redone. Faces are already well done.. Time to fix everything else about them.
3) Fielding completely revamped. I detested playing defense in '09, too many animations controlled the action in the field..Got very boring. Would LOVE to see some signature fielding throws from certain players. Tulo, Rollins, Escobar, Reyes and Hanley..All these guys have different styles and they should be able to mo-cap something like this. Keep things fresh in the field. This should go for all positions and the good thing, there aren't many who have different throwing styles.
4)Getting rid of all gator-arm pitching animations. The pitches themselves are the best I've ever seen but with a lot of these guys looking like they're "pushing" the ball out it takes away from that single game. Especially if it's an 'Ace'
Really hope Sony pushes the envelope this year.Last edited by Shakedowncapo; 09-20-2009, 06:05 PM.Comment

I have no inside knowledge on anything about MLB'10....but I wouldn't count on collision detection. Not at all.
Personally, I don't see the fascination with collision detection in a baseball game.

Um, when it depends on breaking up a double play...Its a big deal. All the other stuff would be nice eye-candy.
Inexcusable that there is still no way to break up DP's.Comment

Let's not turn this into a wishlist thread or it will get locked.
The only things I have that will be in MLB 10 (per developers):
-Catchers taking off mask on pop-ups (Kolbe_SCEA)
-Classic stadiums? (Russel_SCEA has acted coy about it but hasn't quite said anything definite)Comment

1. Top 50 prospects, i wanna see who the future of baseball, along with your top 10 prospects on your team.

RAIN, SNOW FLURRIES, Heavy Cloud Conditions and even FOG!!!
when you think about how sophisticated video games have become and then when you think about how innovative ASB 2003 (SIX YEARS AGO FOLKS!!!) was in the weather implementation department, this is a longgggggggggggggggggggggggggg overdue visual.
Classic Stadiums...
Ebbetts Field, Polo Grounds, Candlestick, ect... Have the announcers include the park you choose in their dialog...Fans clothes could be from the 50's please add kids to your fan base...
Uniforms...
!956 Redlegs cut sleeves...1957Milwaukee Braves... 1947 Cardinals...
More choices...
I want to be able to have an option to choose the number of teams I want to include in my season. I would enjoy a trip back to the 50's with 8 Teams from the National League and 8 Teams from the American League,,,
Grass...
A visual up-grade would be nice...
Weather...
I would love to see some sunsets in Night Games... Moving shadows from the clouds on the field...
Lightening Thunder and Rain...
scooter...For 2017...

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)
I'd like to see a "Road to the Show" feature where instead of creating a player from scratch & taking him throught the minors... I'd like to pick a certain / current player (ex Albert Pujols) & have the MLB season fast forward to HIS at bats & in game moments?
Might be cool to see the HR record fall by a player I've exclusively controled from day one...

PS... And, co-sign me to more weather effectsComment

Re: Is there a LIST of Features/Improvements that the developers have for next year?
Take out slides at second
Collisions at home plate
Fouls off the batter, catcher and ump
Some type of collision interaction at first base involving the first baseman and runner with offline throws.
Im am not proposing players smashing into each other all over the field but collision detection in some key areas would be nice.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Is there a LIST of Features/Improvements that the developers have for next year?
Its not true collision detection, it is a canned animation that gives the effect a collision has occurred. The same as with the fielders at second doing the diving throw to first.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

That's right! Thank you. I forgot who, but one of the developers confirmed fireworks for next year.
Per the feedback thread, I also suspect that there are signature home run trots.Comment

Re: Is there a LIST of Features/Improvements that the developers have for next year?
There are some situations in the game where it would be helpful to have some collision detection. Some of them would be:
Take out slides at second
Collisions at home plate
Fouls off the batter, catcher and ump
Some type of collision interaction at first base involving the first baseman and runner with offline throws.
Im am not proposing players smashing into each other all over the field but collision detection in some key areas would be nice.
A certain area?
A certain play?
Isn't that pretty much the same as having a canned animation?
