Cardinals fans shouldn't have much to complain about regarding the Fox broadcasts. You got Jack's son and a member of two championship teams in McCarver.
...nahh, what am i saying. They're probably just as brutal to listen to for you than they are for me.Comment

Wow. Been a while since I've posted here.Haven't played a whole lot of The Show '09 this year as Rock Band has completely taken up residence in my PS3, but when the playoffs end and baseball is over, The Show will take back the PS3 just as it did last year. I know that 2010 is already in production, but here is what I'm hoping for next year:
-Fix the bugs that are present this year which have caused so many problems for so many people.
-Improve the fielding in the game so that it matches the level of excellence of everything else.
-Include lighting transitions in day games as well as night games.
-PLEASE INCLUDE REALISTIC WEATHER! I wan't to have to worry about letting my ace go out there if there is rain in the forecast, and I also want to have to manage my roster if double headers are needed due to rain outs.
-FIX THE END OF SEASON TIES ISSUE! Just as Minnesota has done these past two years, there should be a one-game playoff if two teams tie for the regular season record and only one of those teams can advance to the playoffs.
-Include my first and last name as spoken words in the game.(It is a wishlist, isn't it?
)
-Fix the Gold Glove Awards bug where they always go to players on the Orioles and Braves for the catcher/pitcher.
-Further enhance the atmosphere of playoff games and critical rivalry games. Make the crowd constantly loud and into the game.
-Continue to make this game fun and try not to repeat the bug issues that plagued the game early this year.
I really love this franchise and it has made my decision to buy a PS3 oh so very worth it.Comment

I would love to see harold reynolds do some commentary with matt vesgersian. I love hearing harold do color, and I think he would be perfect for a two man booth.Comment

I know it's an old post, but now that Matt Vasgersian's with them, maybe he could do some kind of franchise recap show. We know that the acting will be good, and the sound will be edited well, so that isn't a problem.
It would be good, no doubt.Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)
I haven't read the entire thread so these things might have been mentioned already but 3 things I would like to see on MLB 10 are classic stadiums, ability to create an expansion team & stadium and add them to a franchise without having to replace a current team, and the ability to import created guys from other roster sets.
Edit - I just thought of something else I would like to see on MLB 10........the ability to control whether a guy retires or not and to also have those retired guys stay on the free agent list for a season with an opportunity to sign them for a playoff run or even invite them to spring training the following season. I wouldn't want to see them stay on the free agent list any longer than 2 seasons though.Last edited by crques; 10-06-2009, 03:31 PM.Comment

Add the following:
STATS:
-Player Awards included on Player Card. i.e Gold Glove, MVP
-More stats on Player Card - i.e. last years SBs, runs, OPB.
-Last year's Award Winners.
-Last year's stats. - games had this in 2004!!
-one screen to see all stats with option this year/last year (MVP style)
-During playoffs - ability to see current year's season's stats on Player Card.
-Previous years (in franchise) to see World Series Winners.Comment

I would also like to see a little improvement in the ball physics overall. I would like to see more of a balance between extra base hits and HR's. It seems like it's too easy to hit HR's and too difficult to get doubles. I would love to trade most of my HR's for doubles in the gap, off the wall or short hop the wall. It would balance out the stats.
I know I mentioned it before but I would love to see them fix the CPU baserunning AI so they take off right off the bat with 2 outs. It seems like it's very difficult to score on a single with a guy on 2nd. With the lack of doubles in the game it seems like I really don't even have a runner in scoring position when he's on 2nd. I have to get a guy to 3rd to really have him in scoring position.Comment

i'm sure its been said, but as I am watching the playoffs and particularly the one game play-in in Minnesota....would love to see The Show make a huge difference in playoff crowd intensity. Whether they do animations of towel waving (in certain stadiums) or just absolutely beef up the crowd noise on each and every pitch, it would add so much more to the experience.
Its a feature that has yet to be implemented in a single baseball video game and I think could make a huge difference.Comment

I am watching game 1 of the Yankees and Twins and TBS has a NEW overlay. Its TBS pitch trax in the right hand corner, and this would be great if this could make it in the game at some point. I love the way it trax each pitch from the outfield pitching view, something I have always wanted when I am pitching. I am sure this will be in every playoff game. Hopefully the SECA team can get a good look at this.Last edited by The Bimmer; 10-07-2009, 05:38 PM.Comment

I agree with this. I think I have even seen the CPU swinging at a 3-0 pitch with his lead-off hitter to start the game. That should never happen.Comment

louder crowds in playoffs and also that last long bcuz in mlb09 the crowd gets loud for like 3 seconds then gets quiet.
Also more stuff that would make the playoffs more exciting to play..it just feels like a normal season gameYankees!!
