They are constantly adding new nuances that make each stadium unique as in real life.

So with the addition of the "little things" they are adding, people are excited to see what and where they were added.

Good point.

Last year though I wanted to see other ML stadiums and get a feel for the game so I played at least a dozen full exhibition games, tinkered with the sliders and options before I did anything, then started spring training and I was still tweaking all thru that. Should have a pretty good handle on it as the game play isn't going to change that much (it will be more refined), so we'll see, but jumping into a franchise and getting frustrated only leads to a lot of "what the heck" posts here.

It's a long season, so might as well learn the ins-outs of the game.

Yeah. I also use spring training and exhibition games to get back into the swing of things. Although, this year I am still playing MLB 09 religiously so I hope the learning curve is a little bit less this yr for me.

What I do try to avoid are slider tweaking as I feel that once I start tweaking and messing with the sliders, I am constantly making adjustments rather than enjoying the game as is. I must say that the Show is probably the only game where I can play on default. Hope that remains the same for MLB 10.

I agree. I think too much "slidering" actually messes people up. People are always looking for the perfect "solution" rather than spending time learning the little nuances of the newly released game.

I think the game is going to play like last year pretty much, and it's not going be like the jump from 08-09.

I have played '09 all year on default HOF. I hate getting into the downward spiral of slider tweaking. I think this game plays just fine out of the box. I intend on keeping that same approach with '10.

I will be starting a franchise, probably with the Red Sox, since I am a big fan of Fenway ever since the first time I saw a game there. Once Knight's rosters are released I am going to start a Mets season/franchise and play all 162 games throughout the year.

First thing i will do is checkout the game from a pure spectator mode. I want to watch and see how close the game is to simulating a real MLB telecast. I dont want to worry about controlling players and learning new mechanics. I just want to EXPERIENCE the game in all its glory. That means a full presentation with broadcast camera angles, played out cutscenes/real time presentation as if I were watching a game on TV.

First thing I will do is play a game at Fenway Park. I am always curious how that park looks in a baseball game and how the physics of balls put in play in that unique field.

But when I get home the first thing I will do is play a game at the Polo Grounds. And then just play a bunch of exhibitions until Knight's rosters are done.
