Re: MLB '10: The Show Hands-On Impressions @ CES w/ Russell_SCEA
From the sounds of it, specifically from the guys at community day last year (yourself included Nem), the process of implementing the lighting seems to be quite the task. Adding it in for all of the MLB parks as well as the Minor League stadiums is more than likely very time consuming. Having it all in this year is going to be a treat!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

I had that gut feeling it was done on purpose. Thus why I said I think it was done that way to see more.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Hands-On Impressions @ CES w/ Russell_SCEA
I really want to know if day games can turn to night. It seems like what would be ideal is a 24 hour continuating lighting effect for every day of the year. Then you can thearetically go from a day game into night and back to day (not realistic but should be possible). This way the schedule could have 4:05 games or any other time.
I pretty sure the OP said he saw it go dark and the park lights come on..."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Actually, I wonder if they tweaked the night game progression at all. Last year's was a great inclusion but kind of "skippy", plus it didn't ever really hit that dark blue color and instead went to more of a gray.
Would be nice to see all of the cool new little things that were added, but I guess that's where I have to be patient.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Just from some of the vids I can honestly say that this game looks more realistic then last year. 09 was definitely a beautiful game, but this year's.... Blows my socks off. I think it's the lighting or maybe the stadium upgrades, but everything seems different to me. I've never really been this excited for a game. Something about the player models looks improved tooComment

That's what always happens with night games.

Also I am just impressed how they took into account seasonal dark.
So 7:05 games in April and September will start darker, than the summer. And get darker earlier. Amazing stuff.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment
