I just played it for a solid HOUR. Took some pics and vids that I will post...
I must say, I wasnt expecting it to be much different than last year, but I was BLOWN AWAY.
First of all, I took a pic of the pre-game options, because it was pretty cool. You can select different difficulties for offense and pitching, which is cool, cause I find legend pitching more fun, but could never score on legend. So I made pitching Legend, and Hitting Veteran.
There is also a weird option for pitch delay? slower, normal, faster, off, I believe are the options. Anyone have an idea what this is? Russell?
The pitching motion for Roy Haladay has been completely re-done. It looked perfect. Looked even better than 2K, which is saying something.
CC's wind-up looked a little different, but i couldnt put my finger on what it was...but it looked better.
You can field and hit with different cams, so when pitching, I used the traditional medium cam. It seems like they have zoomed in that camera a little bit, which made a big difference, but it seemed like it was harder to catch the ball. I was standing in the circle with nick swisher, but he pulled a 2k9...twice in a row. So the Phillies had back-to-back triples to start the game.
Hitting, even on veteran, I couldnt touch Roy Halladay. I was down 6-0 after 2 innings...and I'm pretty good.
So i turned it off and re-started with the yanks vs sox in fenway. Phil Hughes looks more like Phil Hughes this year. Everyone's pants seem to look more natural. Guys with baggy pants looked like they had baggy pants, not just wrinkled tight pants.
I shellacked Beckett and scored 2 in the top of the first, but I had to leave after one inning.

Another thing I forgot to mention...
The ball doesnt just snap to gloves anymore. In the infield, there really will be balls that miss your 3rd basemens glove by inches.
And in the outfield, you really can tell the difference between a speedy outfielder and a slow one. Gardner was getting to everything, while Swisher felt clumsy and slow.Comment
