It all depends. If you don't want to see anything positive then you won't, but truthfully the presentation(Commentary), player models, and pitching/batting controls all are done better in 2k. Overall the show is the better baseball game but lets be a little honest here.

I agree with commentary and pitching/batting controls, but better player models? I don't think so...

2k does have the better commentary but the controls are a matter of taste. as for player models ....The Show is head and shoulders above 2k. at least half of the players in 2k look goofy.

True, the shoulders are especially higher!!

In all seriousness, this is especially true of The Show 10. The player models are amazing and way better than the competition. I'll admit I was very impressed with the 2k demo and would like to play the full game more, for variety's sake. But MLB 10 is simply unbelievable in all aspects.

EDIT: For the record, I've always felt 2k had potential. But I also was one of the many that originally bought a PS3 just to play The Show.

Just a concern about title edit?
After following this thread since it's birth and after reading excellent impressions for 36pgs 640+ post later, I noticed a thread topic Edit.. stating (its not a final build) as someone posted saying it was done by Millenium..

Anyway. I just thought there might be a better explanation or product build edited onto the 1st post. Was the reason of the title change due to some of the bestbuy questionable feedback? Cause if it was, I'm here to say in no way shape or form did those related posts sway me from my final decision. Overall I say better late than never to post such facts.

My final impression & contribution to this Kiosk thread is what ever build the game was running on it definetly re-confirmed & solidified my total purchase spending of $424 for ps3 slim & a copy of MLBtheShow10. Because I had already played the demo located in NYC Downtown NoHo Bestbuy Store on friday morning for nearly One&1/2 hours.

I think you're mixing player models up with player textures and faces.

So what's the record for the longest play time at BB? I'm curious.. I wanted to play from 1st to 9th inning, but I'm a bit hesitant because people might think I'm hogging the kiosk or something...

I played 9 inning full game and the whole time I was looking around because I felt bad. I felt like I was hogging it. But I was glad no little kids came up asking to play because I wouldn't have the heart to say no.

LOL!!!! I thought I was the only one!

I mean there was a couple of people watching when I asked them if they wanted to play they said no. Now my question is, can BB employees tell you to stop playing?

Just because you like the way pitching and batting is done on the RS, doesn't make it better, its called your preference. I'm so tired of people claiming because its done this way makes it better, it doesn't, you just like the way its done. I don't care for fight night pitching, so its not better too me. Now the commentary is excellent, I love it and in my opinion sounds better than the show.
