I played it today. 3 innings.
It was Cards (ME) vs. Rangers.
First inning I had a base-hit only to end the inning with a double play from Albert. Pitching side of it, I sucked. I think there was some lag issues with the TV so I was always low and ended up throwing two wild pitches with Waino. I ended up giving up a run in the 1st.
Then the top of the 2nd rolls around. On the second pitch, Scott Feldman throws one up and in to Holliday but misses him. Turns out he should have hit him because the next pitch was scorched into left-center for a home-run. After I hit the home-run I realized that I didn't have Real-Time on so I didn't get to see him run around the bases.
It stayed 1-1 till the top of the third when Brenden Ryan hit one up the middle after Lugo got out. With a man on first, I got to see something new. Schumaker was hit on THE FOOT. He tried to get out of the way but it nipped his back foot. I thought this was pretty awesome. Next batter, Colby Rasmus, who has his own stance that I think is pretty good. On the second pitch of the at-bat, Colby ripped one in the right center gap for a 2-RBI double. Pujols grounded out. Then Holliday struck out looking on a looping curve on the inside part of the plate.
That was all that I played and I loved every minute of it. One guy came up to me and was like "Woah, this looks like a real ****ing game!" He stayed there watching me play for a minute or two after I offered him the controler but he denied. Then one of the Best Buy emploees came up while Brenden Ryan was up and said, "Now that just LOOKS like Brenden Ryan right there."
So glad that I went and played it, but I also regret it as it made the wait for Tuesday that much longer.
