Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
I think Kolbe and his crew will be taking a good look at expanding stats and stat tracking next year.
We touched on it at the event...and he seemed open to it and realizes that it's something a lot of us want.
When wishlist time comes....I think it would be a good idea not only to get this in the forefront for franchise improvements....but to have ready a specific list of what we want tracked(and we can't just say "everything")....to give to Kolbe, Aaron and Jeff so they can look at ways to incorporate it at the first set up meetings.

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
Just got back from BB, i played the game for 2 hours and the only thing that was killing me was that in auto fielding every time the cpu would hit a ball in the outfield, the circles would still come up sfter i shut every possible thing off. i really hope it's fixed by the time i get it cause it drives me crazy!!Comment

Re: Problem!
There is already an impressions thread, and the mods here frown upon creating new threads for each person's issues/praises/etc.
But to respond to your point, this issue has already been confirmed as fixed in the final build....if you read the impressions thread, you'd have known that..."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
just got back from playing 3 innings at Best Buy in Schaumburg, IL.
Game is pretty solid, and while it does feel like the same core game (as expected), some of the little added things make it a pretty enthralling experience. Like when my friend stole second, a little animation came up on the jumbotron in the background (at US Cellular field..Cubs v White Sox, i was cubs) of a burglar stealing a base and running away, or something. Either way, it felt pretty authentic to what you might see at a real MLB game.
The way the ball is hit feels different also, as in there is more of a variety of bounces/how the ball will travel (line drive, etc). Graphics did look a bit awkward, but thats because their TV was calibrated poorly and i was within like 2 feet of the screen, but overall it will clearly look better than 09, just by a bit though.Comment

I noticed this too...The guy that has the actual game tho says that this is fixed! So no worries thereComment

Here you go. Follow the link above. There is a search function at the top right of the main forum page that should be your first stop anytime you have a question or concern. Given the nature of the group here, any issue you may have has probably already been discussed.

Re: Play it at a kiosk? Post impressions here!!
I did it..I got off of work and made the trek to my local Best Buy and played the game...ever notice how hard it is to hit the start button? lol...I was laughing when I had to use my key to hit the start button because of the case...since I have been reading about this for the last few days on this thread...let's see..here is what I did
1) I got there and some Yankee fan was playing a Yankees/Mets game and he was the Yankees...he left and I was forced to bat with AROD..I struck out and it made me smile
I then stuck my key into the controller so I could hit the start button and start a new game...exhibition game at Fenway with the Cards at Red Sox. Fenway looks great...of course the scoreboard on the Green Monster is not manual which I already knew about
.I did love how they had the black tarp over the seats in dead center though..looked very cool.
Matt Holliday on the Cards is wearing #15 which was already brought up. I managed to give up three singles to Pujuls. He battled and battled Beckett and found a way to get base hits. Pujols face looks great.
One one of the singles they flashed to Youkilis and Pujols standing next to each other. Youkilis kind of grabbed his own crotch and kind of wiggled his leg...it looked so authentic! I wanted to yell "Yooooooooooouk!" but then I remembered I was in public
Pedroia hit a ball up the middle with a man on first and the Cardinals SS dove and knocked it down and went to flip it to second and the flip was high..it hit the top of the second baseman's glove and then trickled back where the pitcher was backing up...very cool and very authentic. I also loved how the dirt moved when the SS dove for the ball and when Ellsbury was sliding into second..sweet!
Pedroia had a called strike on him that was outside and he reacted with kind of a look back at the umpire and that "Pedroia I am annoyed as hell face" as he stared back at the pitcher...loved it
I then went into franchise mode..simmed spring training and thought I would try out the computer AI when it comes to trades. I tried to trade Adrian Beltre for Adrian Gonzalez...I was praying it would be rejected...and it was...thank god
I did trade Lowell to the Rangers for Saltalamacchia...and that went through..pretty realistic trade...not perfect..the Rangers would have also wanted money and maybe another prospect...but I can work around that....you can always make certain house rules when it comes to trading. The key part is the AI is not brain dead.
I then played the opening game against the Yanks..but I played in Manager Mode...which I love to do. I love the management aspects of baseball...which is why I love Out of the Park Baseball..I love managing in game and making decisions rather than me swinging at balls in the dirt etc etc...like putting my talent out there...anyway..I started Lackey in the opener just because I already saw Beckett earlier..Lackey has a great face..very realistic..he looks like a horse lol...anyway...the first pitch Lackey throws Jeter homers to straight away center..it hit that black tarp in center and bounced straight up and onto the field..Jeter trotteed around the bases looking just as gay as he always does in real life :-)...it was awesome but sucked at the same time lol....two batters later AROD homered over the Monster...it hit at the very back of the Monster seats and the fans were reaching for th eball trying to catch it..very sweet...once again...pissed but very sweet...was starting to worry about Lackey and how he is going to fair in real life after seeing that inning.
Ellsbury tripled to the triangle and was flying around the bases...very cool looking
I love bringing in relief pitchers and warming them up on the mound..awesome
I pitched with Daniel Bard a bit and he was throwing gas. Ball just popping into the mitt
It is just a real fun game to play..I lost track of time and had texts from my gf asking where I was and what we were doing for dinner etc lol
I love how the ball reacts when hit..perfect
I did foul off a ball and hit the umpire in the mask and he went down to one knee...very cool.
C.C looks fat in the game...which is good because he is fat in real life lol. He looks very realistic
The only complaint I have is the Green Monster scoreboard...which is bad in some ways because it is an important feature of Fenway but everything else far outweighs it. I was looking forward to Tuesday before I went to Best Buy and now I really am. I can't wait to use Knight's rosters...especially the historic ones with this game..a lot of options!Comment
