I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one. If there's one thing that has dragged down my favorite sports games of the last few years (The Show, FIFA, NCAA Football) it's the "passing glance" that Franchise/Dynasty modes seem to be given.

These games look so great now and they play so well, it's a shame that the one mode that I want to sink my teeth into the most always seems dragged down by things that would seem to have a semi-easy solution. I suppose if they made Franchise/Dynasty mode too good they could run the risk of people not buying the next year's version of the game, but I refuse to believe that's the reason why these modes have seemed so lackluster over the last few years.

Here's hoping that we've reached a point where the games look and play so well that developers will actually take the time to make these modes spot on as opposed to good enough in the very near future.

Yeah...don't get me wrong, great features such as minor league options, the rule 5 draft, waivers, etc...those are all great things. But I can't believe something as basic and integral to a franchise mode as stat tracking has remained untouched now for years.

I'd like to be able to export season stats in the future to a comma delimited text file or something. Now that would be cool. Plus it would be nice to have access to the series stats they keep. The game keeps track of everyone's stats for a series so it would be nice if we could actually look at those too.

but stats issues has been a problem for years now.
But i suppose with every game they are. lol

On the Best Buy front, I havent gotten there recently, I wanted to check if there is a slot in the sound section for 7th inning stretch music.
If anyones there and can check it, cool and thanks.

What about Top of the 8th inning music and "Sweet Caroline" lol

Yeah, it's not like the Franchise mode is bad or anything like that. But at some point they need to take a hard look at getting the "little things" right for something other than what happens on the field.

I think Kolbe and his crew will be taking a good look at expanding stats and stat tracking next year.
We touched on it at the event...and he seemed open to it and realizes that it's something a lot of us want.
When wishlist time comes....I think it would be a good idea not only to get this in the forefront for franchise improvements....but to have ready a specific list of what we want tracked(and we can't just say "everything" )....to give to Kolbe, Aaron and Jeff so they can look at ways to incorporate it at the first set up meetings.

Minneapolis update... The mall of America best buy has the show available for play on a large tv as well. I am watching som kids play right now.

I am a little bit OCD, and that is going to annoy me a lot. MOST players don't do that at all, let alone all of them.

ive got to admit, when i first saw this i thought "are they gonna do that rounding every base on a hr?" and while i do find it a tad annoying, i bet after a few months, i wont even notice it. it will prob just get drowned out among all of the other top notch presentation animations.

i was just in agreement with the original poster, who stated that in real life most players dont hold their helmet on their head while rounding the bases after a homerun, but in the game, specifically RTP, they do.

oh yea, for what its worth, i dont think best buy will give you a hard time if you try to bring a keg in there.
but if youre gonna do that, you might as well bring in the bbq and do some hot dogs too
