Kiosk Impressions (Best Buy Build IS NOT FINAL)

I am going to Best Buy today and here are some things I better see or I am not buying it on Tuesday....

A) I want Knight's full minor league rosters ready and downloadable on the console at Best Buy

B) I want Casey Kelly's motion to be exact and have interactions with Clay Buccholz and talk about how Clay's wife is pregnant etc

C) I want Mike Lowell to get an argument with Adrian Beltre at Spring Training

D) I want to see AROD's cousin in the stands with a bag of needles



If I dont see those things I am buying 2K10 LOL :-)

LOL...I know the MLBPA will never go for this but wouldn't it be cool that in the game you could have the choice of taking steroids..you take them and the risks and rewards that come along with them...you could become a superstar real quick...you could break down..or you could fail a test and be suspended. I used to play this college football text game and you could cheat in recruiting and run the risk of getting the caught etc...think it would be cool but I doubt that MLB would approve of it

but it's just funny how members that went to CD didn't mention any negatives or anything on message boards (IDK maybe they were informed not to by the SCEA people).

I don't post here anymore, but for this I will, this is ridiculous. We went with a boat load of stuff from this web site from you guys and SCEA responded. We got updated builds sometimes three times a day when we were there as they were responding. So you wanted us to come back here and comment on an unfinished build so that you could go into panic mode? I don't think so. The rest of the gamers here wouldn't deserve that and neither does SCEA.

Use the bugs and glitches thread when it comes out. You might find it "funny" that even the community leaders post there too.

haha, in all seriousness, that's what it seems like....99% of the things people complain about are so minor.

I'm just glad they fixed all my gripes from last year, or so it seems like they did from when i played at best buy...

smoother gameplay, better fielding/throwing, sweet camera etc.

Since I play almost exclusively online the main issue I wanted fixed was the ability to pitch from the pitch cam when you play online but hopefully next year.

I will say, that one thing that isn't so minor that wasn't touched is the stats in Franchise mode. It's a bit ridiculous that I can't see a player's minor league stats once I promote him, and that the minor league stats are erased each season.

So say it's spring training of a new season and I have a vacant spot in my rotation. I want to see the stats of my minor league pitchers from last season to see who I can promote. I can't do that.

Or say I'm in the third season of my franchise and I'm offered a trade package including a minor league infielder. I can't look at his minor league career stats, all I have to go on is his ratings and his stats for the current season.

I can live with it...but really, MVP '05 had this. It needs to be addressed.

Drew, I agree bout the minor league stats.
but stats issues has been a problem for years now.
But i suppose with every game they are. lol

On the Best Buy front, I havent gotten there recently, I wanted to check if there is a slot in the sound section for 7th inning stretch music.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one. If there's one thing that has dragged down my favorite sports games of the last few years (The Show, FIFA, NCAA Football) it's the "passing glance" that Franchise/Dynasty modes seem to be given.

These games look so great now and they play so well, it's a shame that the one mode that I want to sink my teeth into the most always seems dragged down by things that would seem to have a semi-easy solution. I suppose if they made Franchise/Dynasty mode too good they could run the risk of people not buying the next year's version of the game, but I refuse to believe that's the reason why these modes have seemed so lackluster over the last few years.

Here's hoping that we've reached a point where the games look and play so well that developers will actually take the time to make these modes spot on as opposed to good enough in the very near future.
