Re: ***Offical MLB 10: The Show Impression Thread***
Three (3) cosmetic concerns/questions:
2. Pre-pitch batter animation (stepping out of the batter's box after each pitch): Normally, after each pitch in real life, players usually either step off the plate or completely/partially out of the batter's box before setting up for the next pitch (whether it's a ball or strike, it doesn't matter). Normally, the pitcher will stand on the mound, watching/waiting for the batter to do his trademark nuances and get back into the batter's, before delivering his pitch.
In MLB09, I frequently saw batters immediately set and ready for each pitch through their entire at-bat sequence even before the catcher threw the ball back to the pitcher.
Thanks. Appreciative.
LOVE this question...they weren't sure if they got this in this year or not....WANNA KNOW, WANNA KNOW, WANNA KNOW!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if the speed of the CPU generated prospects has been improved?
There were no fast prospects last year. It is setup were speed progressed over the years as if it were plate discipline or plate vision. I'm wondering if there are any prospects who already have 85+ speed.Comment

Re: ***Offical MLB 10: The Show Impression Thread***
Papelbon - Has a new and improved pitch delivery from the stretch. It looks pretty dead on.
Buchholz - I didn't get a chance to play with him but I did look at his player edit and his pitch delivery said "Generic 1." So I am assuming since he had a delivery last year that was "Hidden" he most likely will have the same one this year. The funny part is it was Bronson Arroyo's delivery. I know that there are hidden deliveries cuz there are also hidden stances. Jacoby Ellsbury had his stance from last year, but when I looked at his player edit section it said "Generic 1." Same with Evan Longoria
Daniel Bard - Said "Generic 1." But when I brought him in during the game it seemed as though he actually had a signature pitch delivery. The only problem was he pitched from the wind-up when no one was on, and then from the stretch when runners on base. Sota like Papelbon's signature delivery last year that had a wind-up and a stretch delivery.
Hope this helps. I played a full game yesterday Red Sox versus Rays. I was the Sox ofcourse. I plan on going back tomorrow for more play! LaterComment

Here are the list of trophies.....hopefully the name of the trophy is good enough because it will take me all night to include the description of each one. That's cool that they've have unlockables related to unlocking trophies. You can get a full list of the trophies by going to the trophies menu on the PS3 XMB right above where the game is in the Game menu. If you have the time, it's be great to see what all trophies are in the game.

Sounds like some really cool trophies and some seem fairly obvious. If you play with your PS3 online, you can sync your trophies (either press triangle and hit sync trophies on the trophy icon, or go to your game card in the friends list on the PS3 and click it with X it'll sync) people can view it based on your name. Here are the list of trophies.....hopefully the name of the trophy is good enough because it will take me all night to include the description of each one.

If you do that and don't want to put your name out there (for the million friend request reason) you can PM me your PSN and I'll go to view it online and write out the list nicely
Either way thanks for the list

I believe the 1st question was answered but as far as the above 2nd question:
In the short time I have actually played the game the batters do either take a step back in the batters box or will step out. I have yet to see the batter "snap" into position at the plate.Last edited by showbo1971; 02-24-2010, 11:42 PM.Comment
